Dixie is a cute, 5-lb Maltese. Toward me the dog’s attitude is an affectionate tolerance but toward my wife she displays utter dedication. It’s fascinating, really. Not only does Dixie constantly trot along behind my wife wherever she goes through house, yard, etc., but she is constantly keeping an eye on my wife’s every move. A pitiful display of Separation Anxiety erupts almost immediately if she ever looses sight of her Number 1.
Dixie’s behavior sometimes reminds me of a Bible verse:
"Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, As the eyes of a female servant to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the LORD our God, Until He is gracious to us." (Psalm 123:2)
The analogy is imperfect, of course, after all Dixie is a dog. But her actions remind me of my need to constantly look to the Lord, to seek His face, His will, to search His Word, to discern His will - then to go in the direction He desires, to make the choices that would glorify Him. It’s a lifelong task, even a struggle, to do those things but I believe it pleases Him when I try to keep my focus on Him. Another passage that fits well:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Eleven months ago I found myself in the hospital with a diagnosis of stage 3 Hodgkin lymphoma. Looking out of the window, I remember the words coming to me, “This is My plan for you. I haven’t finished with you yet.” During the months of recovery I was impressed with many things, especially the brevity and unpredictability of life and the certain hope found in my immutable God.
“Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity” (2 Tim 1:9)

@TiborKovacs_TX@MakisMD@ABDanielleSmith Thanks for the suggestion. We actually stopped it for a week, symptoms went away. Started again at just 12mg with the same symptoms after just 1 dose. Trying Fenbendazole now.
@JohnDParody My mother did. Started ivermectin for recurrence of ovarian cancer. She experienced severe eye pain, hallucinations and dizziness. Stopped taking it and they went away. Tried it again with the same response. Thankfully no lasting eye damage. Now trying Fenbendazole
@mike_morbius@MakisMD@ABDanielleSmith Started with 16 mg and increased to 32mg after 5 days. Side effects after 1 week. Stopped taking for 4 weeks tried 16mg again. Same side effects after 1 dose. Have you heard of any side effects from fenben?
@mike_morbius@MakisMD@ABDanielleSmith Thanks for your response. I’ve considered Fenbendazole but I haven’t been able to find any listed side effects in humans. With her reaction to Ivermectin I’m a little hesitant to try Fenbendazole
