Rockstar reportedly told Sony to remove GTA VI's branding from the PlayStation App after the disc controversy got too hot

Sony killed physical discs for all PlayStation games starting January 2028.

The backlash was instant.

Politicians calling for regulation. KFC and Domino's publicly roasting them. The internet turned on Sony overnight.

A week ago Sony had GTA VI everywhere.

App icon changed. PS5 dashboard taken over. Store completely redesigned. No PlayStation game has ever gotten that treatment.

Now all of it is quietly gone.

Property owners can now be cited by #ThorntonPD for fireworks violations on their property, even if the specific violator isn’t identified.

Fireworks are dangerous. They cause fires, serious injuries, and disrupt our entire community. With the dry conditions we’re seeing this year, the risk of disaster is very real.

Our officers have been patrolling known hotspots and will continue to do so. As you can see here, fireworks will be seized and fines are hefty. $500 for a first offense, $1,000 for a second offense within two years.

Fourth and fifth graders in California found out bald eagle hunting grounds could become luxury homes.

The hunting grounds belong to two eagles named Jackie and Shadow. The development would cut off their access to Moon Camp in Big Bear Valley. Where they’ve hunted for years. The nest isn’t what’s threatened. The land they hunt from is.

The kids didn’t write a petition. They didn’t start a hashtag. They started raising money and writing letters to lawmakers and celebrities around the world. The goal is ten million dollars by July 31st.

They’ve raised about $2.7 million so far. The developer still has plans.

The developer has lawyers. The kids have a bake sale and a deadline.
