Australian Research Council funded project, directed by A/Prof Mike Morley, reconstructing environments of early human dispersal to Southeast Asia & Australia
Disperscapes members Mike, Vito and Meghan are delighted to have contributed to this brilliant research paper, collaborating with a truly fantastic team!
More crucial geoarchaeological data generated in the Flinders Microarchaeology Laboratory by the @Disperscapes team!! This time to contextualise early evidence of our species in Southeast Asia

And another fantastic talk today on Tam Pa Ling Cave, Laos, this time by Meghan McAllister at AQUA on biomarkers preserved in the cave sediments. Another reason to be a proud supervisor - I have such great PhD students! @Indi750@Flinders@FLINArchaeology@Disperscapes
Fantastic month for the @Disperscapes project from @FLINArchaeology. Last week was at the @ippa2022 in Chang Mai, this week it's at the #AEIC2022. Both on research in Tam Pa Ling, Laos to contextualise early modern humans in their Pleistocene! environments
Congratulations to our Disperscapes team member Vito @ingatkatandaan on a great presentation at @ippa2022, sharing snippets of his microstratigraphic research!
Thanks for capturing this moment @palaeophd!
Yes, done and dusted this presentation at the @ippa2022. It was a great session. I certainly picked up points to include in the PhD, so thank you to @Flinders and the @Disperscapes project for funding my participation here! #WorthIt!
I have been very fortunate to work and publish with Nobel Prize winner Svante Pรครคbo. Some of the early ideas for our paper in @PNASNews this year on the #microstratigraphic context of aDNA came from a chat with Svante about a potential combined #geoarchaeology & #aDNA study
New publication! Excited to be amongst esteemed peers and offer the concluding chapter in this landmark volume on Early #Theravadin#Cambodia@FLINArchaeology
Check out our new paper reporting a tooth we found in a cave in Laos that we believe belonged to a Denisovan!
We have #microstratigraphic context too!

What a month it has been for Disperscapes! Team member Meghan McAllister is first author on this review paper discussing the application of stable isotope techniques to reconstruct local palaeoenvironments across Pleistocene arch sites in SE Asia!
