This is when I know people don’t remember Kobe or this game correctly.

1. Kobe avg 16 more shots than anybody on that 06 team

2. Lakers were down 18 in the 3rd. He had to start gunning

3. Others not scoring is VERY different than intentional fouls to lengthen the game and pad

I wanted to hate on Bam but I looked up Kobe’s 81 point box score and his last 7 points came from free throws.

No Laker had a shot for the last 7 minutes in that game lol.

It’s disrespectful apparently when someone in the NBA gets a late basket as time expires when the game is over but it’s not disrespectful that a team can extend a game up 27 to manufacture an extra dozen possessions by fouling and creating an extra 15 points for a player 🤦‍♂️
