@FantasyGalaxies This scene changed *everything*. Darth Maul's double-sided lightsaber and the rapid attack duel(s) between Maul, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon were unlike anything from the original series and contextualized Obi-Won's comment about Republic-era Jedi/Sith battles in Episode IV.
@22Krystjan @Waterfall_Clean @justinlasalata What better 2nd film cliffhanger on par with the reveal at the end of ESB than to have the main protagonist succumb to the Dark Side? What better way to show that the old order of things is changing than to have her "bring balance" by having both Jedi and Sith powers?
@StarWarsDaily_ Daisy didn't tell JJ to have her hold a dagger in front of the Death Star wreckage. John didn't tell JJ to have Finn go on a literal cavalry charge on top of a Star Destroyer. Mark sure didn't tell JJ and Rian to have him try to kill his nephew and give up on life or the Jedi.
@xMoJo4 @nolanrichardsin I learned to call it and everyone back off in teeny league. That play still irks me. They all wanted to be the one to catch it, and they all watched it drop.
@STNorm23 @JohnNaborsShow@jordyn_wieber Even with the random way in which gymnastics is judged, we ended #7 in the country with a shot at the national championship. None of the millions we've dumped in ****ball have gotten us anywhere close to a #7 ranking. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
