Artificer just rele doesn’t appeal , cleric appeals but I just like paladin more so pick that over it, wizard has the same issue where I just like warlocks and sorcerers more

@wadojeff Yup, or because you didn’t allow aarockra or some other player option or because a tired party tried to long rest in n unsecured dungeon and ended up just getting attacked , I learned early on in my time DMing that you just can’t treat online Criticism with weight , it’s toxic

@wadojeff That’s certainly apart of it , it’s going to be intimidating to some extent . People make it worse than it needs to be though, online spaces especially are very quick to declare people a bad DMs for minor misstep or even just stylistic choices they disagree with , people notice

@wadojeff I believe there’s a shortage , I think what happens is that there’s lots of things actively drawing in new players but not so much DMs and DMing has this strange mystique around it which makes people feel intimidated by it
