Long article, but I think there is room to explore how gamers practice the fundamentals of design and systems thinking without knowing it. This is bigger than FAB and can be applied to all games

@MarshallMcgurk Also it’s worth saying. Study what you think is interesting. If I just chased the hotness since my undergrad it would be Iran/Afghanistan/Oh shit Korea/ Afghanistan again/ Korea / South America / China / Russia / Iran 😆
@ragingmeercat@doctrinatrix_C2 Naw it just gave an excuse to relegate that task to the RCP. Consolidation happens on near the flot as much as it does in the rear.
@TooFatLardies I think theres a fine line between loyalty to a brand and being a cult. Even more blurred when you are a smaller game company and for many people (looking at me) was a first shot at historicals that didn’t make me roll my eyes in endless tables/charts or button/rivot counting
@armada_dm I moved 2 hours away this summer, and I went from playing in Armories 4 nights a week to now playing 0 times. Here is my analysis... the world is diverse different people like different things, and water is wet... Listening to TCG Players... as TSwift said, "it's exhausting"
@ragingmeercat@MoreStableUnion I think all war is attritional if you think that Resistance = Means x Will. The key variable would be the time to reconstitute means if all the means on hand are exhausted. Hard to model now because I think we hit horizontal escalation before we hit that point 🤷♂️
@ragingmeercat Oh no I think this is more of a hot take than anything. Blitzkrieg is an avalanche of tactics. Deep Battle is an Operational Theory. It’s more of the Schlieffen Plan with the advent of new technology.
But me not liking this idea of blitzkrieg aside. If we’re just looking 1/2
