Nice to see the long tailed bat/ pekapeka are still enjoying their Project Echo bat boxes with over 50 bats counted in just one box last night! We are undertaking emergence surveys alongside infrared and thermal imaging camera recordings to show the boxes are still occupied.

I turned 30 years old on Matariki this year. On that morning there was also a rare five-planet alignment and here's the photo I took (from top left, Jupiter, Mars, Moon, and Venus). What a spectacular way to start a new decade!
