It would definitely be nice to get the transparency back for creative usage. Maybe have it be enabled by the resource pack itself so its turned off by default, but can be brought back via an option in the pack?

Not for now and it's not planned for the future. We've put alot of effort into the server over the past few years. There is going to be a test modded server running which will mainly focus on the "16x community" hosted by us!
