I have a longstanding friend who lost the love of his life of 30+ years to a brain tumor in the past year. Understandably, he struggled emotionally and spiritually for months. Yesterday when prompted by my question of how he was doing, he closed his reply with the following inspiring words:

“Reflect today on…

…all the blessings in your life
…the things that make you happy
…the aspects of your life that are particularly fulfilling
…how you can push aside negativity.”

For anyone struggling from profound loss, may his words of wisdom bring you comfort.

@dnapway Bessent’s modesty is inspiring. He will go down as one of our greatest Secretary of U.S. Treasury in history.
