I am not experiencing any negative side effects at all. Although I am starting with a low dose FWIW.
I've seen many physical therapists - most were useless and one was excellent. The other thing I've done that's been very, very beneficial was getting an MRI to clearly visualize my injury and take guesswork out of it. Good luck!
@br4z4ar@WallStreetMav I am doing things now that 2 weeks ago would have killed my back. There is still some pain but nowhere near what it used to be. Good luck!
@SeekerIsCurious@WallStreetMav@grok - chime in.
As far as where to get it... There are places which have it for purchase for research purposes only. I'll leave it at that although I will say that I highly recommend Made in the USA products only! Good luck.
One of my best life lessons came from an unexpected source - a terrible chemistry teacher I had in high school. She was bad. Not because she was mean or whatever but because she wasn't very smart. She was dumb. Really. I would ask her questions about our material and not only did she not have an answer half the time but she didn't know how to figure out the answer. When she was stumped she just wouldn't have anything to say. That's what made her dumb.
The life important life lesson was twofold.
First, it was recognizing and acknowledging that she was dumb. Doing so is a skill which is not as trivial as it may seem. It's a very important skill.
Second, it's facing the fact that there are adults, and as I later learned - many, many, many - adults who are pretty dumb and should be regarded with a lot of skepticism. Moreover, many of these adults are in positions of power or authority and many of them have credentials(!) to prove to the world that they are smart and good at what they do. They are not.
I hope my kids learn this lesson before they graduate high school because it will be very useful to them later in life.
It's time to switch gears, or pivot, as they say.
The goal for this account was mainly for me to vent my frustrations about being a divorced dad. Much of that frustration was related to dating as a 40-something guy in Seattle.
I am happy to say that I am in a great relationship and things are going well! I am definitely not rushing anything so time will tell where this will go long-long-term but so far so good :)
Anyway, now I am going to pivot to expressing frustrations about being a dad ๐
I feel like the impossible has happened - I finally met someone and there's real potential for a real relationship.
It's still very early days but unlike all of the other dates and the few connections I've had so far there don't appear to be major conflicts of interest, so-to-speak, from the get-go.
This feels so unlikely and so damn good!!!
@MarinersF4n@wsdot_traffic Closing all lanes of a major highway and not having anyone out directing traffic, setting an ETA, funneling 6 lanes - which obviously will not all be open - down, or doing anything at all to help drivers who are stuck and unable to exit, is not a "chill" situation. Dude.
@WallStreetMav I got married before the apps were a thing and divorced after they became completely mainstream. The world of dating with the apps is very, very different. And it's terrible for both men and women albeit for different reasons.
I've been feeling impatient lately. On the other hand, some progress is being made. On the other hand, it feels sloooooow.
Trying to keep the Navy SEALs saying in mind: Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
@ScottAdamsSays Correct, we are not there yet.
Humans are good but we're not "that" good and AI is just like that. AI is good but it lies, cheats, and makes mistake just as humans do. The more complex the system the higher the likelihood of mistakes being made. That's why it's not a simple task.
Life goes on I suppose. I met someone really amazing... But... She might not be around for very long and even if she is around most likely she will be unavailable for a relationship with me.
In the meantime, trying to make the best of this situation.

@tenobrus Doesn't surprise me much. Early 40's is the right time to get a divorce, hit the gym, and realize that the dating scene has changed. A lot. Thus needing some help and having the means to hire someone.
