@GingerPirlo_ @AlexJamesEmery @JohnNellis You're right, it was definitely conversations about Maya Jama and reacharounds that did for the FI podcast. Cancelled by lefty snowflakes for being too edgy.
@JohnNellis Have you managed to get @FootballFrog and @Quinny3001 on for that Ronaldo episode we talked about?
I might watch that. See how big a hole they can dig in the duration of a Tiktok vid.
@FTI_emperor@Westy_FTI@Cal_Lewis_7@FootballindexR @MoneroCat Had I seen this in time I'd have predicted France beating Brazil in the final. Spain and Argentina as losing SFs.
I now think Netherlands might beat Argentina but stand by the rest.
@FTI_emperor@Cal_Lewis_7 Yesterday was a good day to be drinking at the cricket rather than watching the football.
I don't understand the De Gea criticism. If a few more results like that finally prompt the Glazers to sell, De Gea will deserve a statue.
Keep chuckin' 'em in Dave!
@Cal_Lewis_7@FTI_emperor McTominay is on ยฃ80k!
I'd be happy paying Dybala ยฃ100k to hand out the half time oranges and he'd still be better value for money than McTominay.
@FTI_emperor@Cal_Lewis_7 Don't agree with half of that.
He presses pretty well and a false #9 type that can drop off and allow Bruno and others to run beyond could work nicely, so wouldn't call him a luxury player.
He'd expect ยฃ300k, but if he is replacing ยฃ450k Ronaldo that's a saving ๐
@Cal_Lewis_7 Unlike Cavani/Schweinsteiger he is in his prime.
Unlike Ronaldo he works hard.
Unlike Di Maria he wouldn't be joining against his will (if he joined).
So as expensive stars go, he has more positives than most.
@Cal_Lewis_7 Two months ago I'd have agreed.
But the CF market is so thin and we're clearly not going to spunk ยฃ100m on one of the better options, so if the choice is Martial/Rashford or Dybala, I'm taking Dybala and running.
He'll surely have better options though.
