A weekend full of report writing - it is always a privilege to review pupils' achievements. Their respect, resilience, courage, commitment and care are recognised in our new rewards system and with just under 80000 house points awarded, this really has been a wonderful term.
It has long struck me as odd that Labour's policy will harm the least well-off independent schools while potentially helping the most well-off (if they reclaim VAT from capital expenditure while passing the full 20% cost of VAT onto parents).

I understand that Labour played to maximise their chances within the system we have, & that voters might have behaved differently under PR. And I know that PR would have benefitted Reform (whose politics horrify me). But this set of results is democratically embarrassing.
As our pastoral team prepares for next academic year and considers key strategic questions concerning team structure and pupil use of technology, some holiday reading has just arrived. @JonHaidt
Miles gave an assembly at the JS this am. He talked about dreams and commitment. He explained what university is, and how applications work & finished by encouraging them to chase dreams, work hard and embrace every opportunity. #resilience#commitment#courage. @isaschools
A superb day yesterday @LGS_Senior as part of the @LeicesterRotary technology competition. A big thank you to all the organisers and for hosting.

He will encourage them to work hard, overcome challenges and embrace every opportunity. He is also playing the flute!
Yesterday we celebrated Mike’s birthday and his amazing life only 8 mths after we had to say goodbye. If you would have bought him a present or a pint of Guinness or would simply like to support @WaterAidUK here’s the link to his tribute page❤️ https://t.co/KDCUE0IU95
Congratulations to our director of tournaments and events Chris Bryant, who has been recognised in the King’s New Year Honours list. 👏

A weekend of report writing with my @Churchers1722 fountain pen and @DixieGrammar ink. It is wonderful to see the progress of pupils and a privilege to write on their reports.
Reception Class children taught me how to sound out letters and then squash them together to make a word. They showed great #resilience and super skills. #DixieValues@isaschools
In Positive Education we created Xmas baubles showing goals & how to achieve them. We had footballers, vets, fashion designers, a defence lawyer & a wrestler.
We learned how to break goals down & illustrated each stage.
