@madeyawook I’m not Black American, but this narrative that Black Americans “don’t have culture” is nonsense. Even in small Caribbean villages, we grew up watching Black American culture and being influenced by it. Black Americans helped shape global Black pride and made it easier for us!

@Lepara0 In my opinion, what could’ve taken SA artists global was amapiano because it’s something unique that the world would’ve loved. But the lack of structure behind the genre slowed down its growth.
@Lepara0 Hip-hop artists from abroad usually won’t break in the U.S., and that’s the truth. Hip-hop is deeply tied to American culture, and Americans tend to celebrate what feels different from what they already have. Plus, in the U.S., it feels like almost everyone is a rapper or singer
The Chinese and majority of the world have NO respect for African people. He picked that baby up as if he was animal, If he did this in China they would put him jail or deported him.
But this happen in Africa, so all he will get is stares an smiles from government tribal chiefs
