With deep sadness, we mark the passing of Professor Douglas Chamberlain.

Pioneer, mentor, and the grandfather of paramedicine. His vision shaped our profession and saved countless lives. His legacy lives on in every paramedic and every life touched.

Rest in peace, Professor.

RIP to the founding father of Paramedic Science, Professor Douglas Chamberlain CBE, OStJ, KSG (1931 to 2025).

An absolute legend, father to all emergency medical personnel past, present and future, and undoubtedly the saviour of millions of lives since 1971 through his development of pre-hospital emergency care and implementation of cardiac resuscitation techniques.

You will be greatly missed but always admired and importantly, never forgotten!
