BREAKING: Congolese President Tshisekedi Stuck at Budapest Airport Over Ebola Concerns
President Félix Tshisekedi was held up at Budapest Airport after arriving with a delegation to attend the Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal, sources claim.
Hungarian airport authorities refused him entry, stating they had not been notified of the arrival and citing the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the DRC as the reason.
In a twist, his brother, Christian Tshisekedi, is said to have landed in Hungary days earlier with friends, traveling via Brussels on multiple private jets and already on site for the match.
The incident has sparked questions about protocol and travel restrictions amid the health crisis.
BREAKING ‼️ Ethiopia has unveiled a plan to supply its oil and gas products to the global market through Djibouti.
🇪🇹🤝🇩🇯
Ethiopia has shared with Djibouti its plan to export natural gas and crude oil to the world market via Djibouti, while also importing refined petroleum products from Djibouti through a liquid pipeline. The proposal was presented by Dr. Brook Taye, CEO of Ethiopian Investment Holdings, to Djibouti's President Ismail Omar Guelleh. According to Djibouti's news agency (ADI), the president has accepted the plan.
The Ethiopian government's proposal consists of two phases. The first phase involves laying a refined oil pipeline stretching about 113 kilometers—starting from the port of Djibouti and ending at Dewele, located on the Ethiopia-Djibouti border. The second phase involves constructing a gas and crude oil pipeline roughly 760 kilometers long, starting from the Ogaden region in Ethiopia's Somali State and extending to the port of Djibouti.
The total estimated cost for the two pipelines and refineries work exceeds $10 billion. The success of the projects is expected to elevate cooperation between Ethiopia, Djibouti, and the Dangote Investment Group to a higher, more strategic level.
