@kobe_boujee88 Yeah I think he did know they would lose. It was very clear that Spain was the better team. Portugal's best game was against Uzbekistan. After that, they played poorly. Very poorly. So I'm sure Ronaldo knew it was going to be a losing game for him.
@WisdomMatic Broooooo, they were playing like they had all the time in the world. 1-0 down and no hunger to score. Even in the last minute, they were still passing the ball to the back and around the midfield. Like who does that???? What happened to crosses into the box???
@teetalksunited People be saying "match hasn't started, we are giving up". Broo, Spain have been good throughout this world cup; but Portugal haven't been so convincing except their second match. No chances created, passing ball backwards, etc. So we aren't delusional. We are just self-aware.
@lanre_koleosho@flowzki Really, you shouldn't be comparing a centre forward's work rate to a winger's work rate. We know what Ronaldo was at ManU and then Madrid, before he started the centre forward role. That's who you should compare with Messi or compare Lautaro Martínez with Ronaldo or any forwards.
@lanre_koleosho@flowzki Ronaldo is a centre forward. The most he can do is drop down to get or make a few passes but his main position is up there to score. If Leao or Conceciao were in that game early on, they'd be doing what Messi is doing too, tracking wingers and assist or trying to score.
Ronaldo's ball for Portugal tomorrow, his first game of the World Cup, will be played in golden boots made by Nike. This is a moment I'll never relive again, I'll handle every inch of it with extreme care and attention
