Indian Captain Smit Machchhar is a hero. Don’t let other media outlets ignore this.
Pray for him. Say his name.
While everyone is now safe at home, he underwent surgery and is still in serious condition in Saudi Arabia.
🚨 LIVE UPDATES: Pilot arrested for attempting to crash plane in "Jihadist Terrorist Attack" thwarted by passengers.
Omani co-pilot stabbed Indian captain Smit Machchhar mid-air and tried to crash the Dubai–Tel Aviv Flydubai flight
1. FlyDubai flight (FZ1073) was traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv on September 30th with more than 170 Israeli passengers aboard.
2. During the flight, the co-pilot stabbed the captain and then attempted to crash the plane.
3. The aircraft entered a tailspin and began rapidly descending.
4. Flightradar24 data showed the aircraft descended nearly 14,000 feet in less than 30 seconds before an emergency signal was transmitted.
5. Passengers reportedly heard screaming and realized something was seriously wrong.
6. One passenger told her mother that she saw a man armed with a knife forcing one of the pilots to the floor, with blood visible in the cockpit.
7. Passengers and a crew member broke into the cockpit and subdued the co-pilot, preventing him from continuing the attempt to crash the aircraft.
8. The wounded captain, lying on the cockpit floor covered in blood, managed to activate the cockpit-door release.
9. A second set of pilots, who were aboard the aircraft and scheduled to replace the original crew later in the flight, took control of the plane.
10. The replacement pilots diverted the aircraft to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, where both the captain and co-pilot were hospitalized with injuries.
11. The alleged attacker was arrested after the aircraft landed and was expected to be interrogated by Saudi authorities.
12. All of the passengers were reported safe and accounted for.
13. Passengers remained in Saudi Arabia for approximately eight hours before departing aboard a replacement flydubai aircraft for Israel.
14. The incident heightened security fears in Israel weeks before Israelis vote in the first election since the Hamas-led October 7, 2023 attacks, with Israel's security figuring prominently in the campaigning.

The Religion of Peace strikes again.
An Omani co pilot on a Flydubai jet from Dubai to Tel Aviv pulls a knife on the captain, stabs him, then tries to smash the controls and nosedive 174 people, including 27 kids, straight into the ground.
The plane dropped about 14,000 feet in seconds. Passengers thought they were about to die in a mid air 9/11.
They weren’t.
Israeli passengers burst into the cockpit, dragged the attacker off the yoke, held him for the better part of an hour, and off duty pilots landed the jet in Saudi Arabia.
The Indian captain, Smit Machchhar, is a hero.
He fought while bleeding and unlocked the door before he collapsed.
That is what “Radical Islam” looks like when it gets into a cockpit.
Albanese still cannot say those two words.
He will talk about cohesion, far right threats, “hate,” anything except the ideology that keeps producing knifemen, preachers telling followers to take up arms, and people who treat civilian aircraft as weapons.
This attack wasn’t in Australia.
The pattern is. Same ideology. Same refusal to name it.
Same open door politics that treats vetting as a vibe.
If an Omani first officer can get that close to turning a packed jet into a missile, stop pretending the rot stops at our border because Albanese says “diversity is our strength”
Say it, Prime Minister, Radical Islam.
He can’t.
A resounding salute to Captain Smit Machchhar, the brave Indian pilot of flight FZ1073 ! 🇮🇳
Despite sustaining injuries in an extraordinary and challenging situation, Captain Machchhar displayed remarkable courage, composure and devotion to duty, helping ensure the safety of everyone on board.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Captain Machchhar for a swift and full recovery. 🙏

When an Indian fits a negative stereotype, nationality makes the headline.
When an Indian pilot fights back in a cockpit, lands a plane safely and saves 180 lives, his origin/nationality disappears from the story.
Captain Smit Machchhar is Indian. And he is a hero.
Please share this far and wide 🇮🇳
Captain Smit Machchhar — pilot who was STABBED by attacker on Flydubai flight — in 2025 interview:
'When we’re up there, and if something happens, who’s gonna save you?'
'We’ll be lucky enough to have a doctor on board'
My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.
🚨 JUST IN: President Trump PRAISES HERO FlyDubai pilot Captain Smit Machchhar and the Israeli man who stormed the cockpit, SAVING the plane from a hijacking and terror attack
"He took the stick and LEVELED OUT THE PLANE BEFORE IT CRASHED."
"He RIPPED this guy out of the seat, threw him back, the passengers grabbed him!" 👏🏻
"A terrorist...he st*bbed the pilot...the pilot in bad shape had the sense to, amazing, a hero, to open the door!"
Absolutely incredible. EVERYONE in that plane was going to be dead if those heroes did not spring into action
Islamist terrorism is a HUGE ISSUE!
"I say blessed."
That was Captain Smit Machchhar's one word when asked to describe being a pilot, in an interview last October.
Today he saved 174 people.
Praying for his full recovery.
