Old Dominion starting TE Dawson Johnson (@DawsonLJ_) is entering the portal, his rep @AlecEaston of @nilsonsports tells @mzenitz and @chris_hummer.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound former Florida Gator appeared in all 13 games in 2025 and hit 21 mph on the GPS. Redshirt freshman.
First and foremost, I would like to thank God and my family for their unwavering support and for giving me the opportunity to play the game of football.
I would like to thank Coach Rahne, Coach Weeks, Coach Deck, Coach Snodgrass and all of the additional staff at Old Dominion for believing in me.
To my teammates - you are my brothers and I am extremely grateful for what we were able to accomplish together this season.
With that being said, after much thought and prayer, I will be entering the portal on January 2nd with 3 YEARS OF ELIGIBILITY LEFT.
