Recently, with deep gratitude and humility, I learned that I have been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by World Vasectomy Day (WVD) at its annual conference in Argentina. This award recognizes a “lifetime of teaching with precision, leading with empathy, and advancing men’s health worldwide.” My sincere thanks to the @WorldVasDay WVD leadership team and colleagues across countries who have worked alongside me. This honor reflects not individual achievement, but long-term persistence, shared purpose, and global collaboration. I am especially grateful to my mentor Dr. Marc Goldstein, whose guidance shaped my medical career, and to Dr. Shunqiang Li, inventor of no-scalpel vasectomy (NSV), for his pioneering vision and early trust. They reinforced my belief that technology must advance with safety and humanism. I am deeply thankful to the many NSV colleagues who supported and inspired me. Today, I was honored to host Mr. @jstack08 (Jonathan Stack), Co-Founder and Chairman of WVD, at @WCMUrology to present this award.
Looking ahead, I remain committed to advancing global urology, surgical training, research, education, and men’s reproductive health. This award is a humbling Christmas gift. With sincere gratitude, thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. @ReproMed_SMRU@SSMR_malefactor@NYSAUA@SMSNA_ORG
Recently been debating "cancer screening skeptics" about endpoints in screening RCTs. They insist on overall survival (OS); when I point out feasibility issues, they say infeasibility of RCT on OS proves screening doesn't work. Prejudice masquerading as methodologic rigor.
Dr. Bob Brannigan @rebrannigan delivered outstanding lectures today as the 44th Victor F. Marshall Visiting Professor at @WCMUrology. An inspiring leader, mentor, and friend — truly the best, and we love him! Heartfelt congratulations on his upcoming @ASRM_org Presidency! @ReproMed_SMRU@SSMR_malefactor@NYSAUA
The AUA remains extremely concerned with ongoing cuts to NIH medical research funding and capping indirect costs. Thanks alternate delegate @YawNyame for testifying in support of urologic research! #AMAmtg#AUAadvocacy
As a @UMKCmedschool alum, it makes me so proud to see that UMKC has enlisted @DlambJ (Dr Dolores Lamb), 🐐 in the field of male infertility, to lead the research learning center at UMKC - go Roos! @AndrologyASA
