I’ve just finished another round of interviews for my book.
The lesson I keep learning:
Prepare well. Make it easy. Respect people’s time.
Then, once they’re up and running, hold back.
That’s often when the real story appears.
Most of us were never taught how to handle disappointment. We were told to move on.
But collapsing the experience into "move on" skips the part where the learning actually happens.

Figuring out what Season you're in is an essential part of strategy - and leadership.
Too often, leaders use the same playbook even if the organisation needs something else.
They push for growth when, in fact, renewal or a reset is called for.
How do I ask test readers for advice and feedback on my book?
Make it easy.
Tell them why I chose them.
Give them some questions to answer.
Say thank you.

I’m a big admirer of @dpontefract. Big brain, big heart.
His new book, The Future of Work Is Grey, tackles a vital issue: how organisations value age.
Then I realised I’m pretty close to that generation myself.

A bit like love in a relationship.
Words count, actions matter even more.

It was like listening to a poet, a sage, a visionary and a provocateur on leadership, all in one.

This book process is full of ups and downs.
Some mornings, the fears come quickly:
Not good enough
Won’t finish it
People won’t like it
Ot could damage my brand
So I sit with it, come back to what I know, and get back to the work.
Piece by piece.
What hidden beliefs are shaping your leadership?
In my latest Lancefield on the Line episode, @MurielMWilkins and I explore the assumptions that drive behaviour, block growth, and shape impact.

Focus on the behaviours you incentivise and tolerate - if you're looking to build a high-performing Board (or leadership team).
Wisdom from @shefaly.
