@BrknMan@ejwwest Not really. you obviously cant just turn off peoples heating, ban cars, jobs, switch everything off.
Our way of life is built a certain way
@BrknMan@ejwwest We are transitioning and it wont go any faster. our whole system is build on a certain way of life. electricy, fossils fuels, heating houses, transport etc etc. even our clothes, internet. basically everything
@Steve_Colty@BladeoftheS ive seen this same image pop up all week and here we have this guy saying India is still on fire after 10 days, and then showing this image from like 10 days ago.
Its all such a joke
@BladeoftheS Stop showing the same image each day. You are such a fucking fraud. How are people even following this account which is clearly just faking shit.
@BrknMan@ejwwest Yeah well thats what i just said.
So what we need to do is adapt. like dont build cities with a bunch of concrete. like build your cities in a way that it can sustain heat. trees. reflective surfaces not heat absorbing etc. its not rocket science.
@BrknMan@ejwwest We are limiting it by making the switch.
But its very gradual. Also our influence on climate is limited. People overestimate the human influence. its still fairly minimal.
@BrknMan@ejwwest Yeah but it will happen regardless. So i dont really understand what your point is. We are already making the switch to renewables. which will take time.
Climate nuts think we can reverse the climate tomorrow. Its not happening.
@BrknMan@ejwwest Yes we are making the switch from fossil fuels. but it wont happen overnight. climate will still warm up.
all of this is already calculated. the climate wont cool down for 100 years if not longer.
So what do we need to do? adapt and adjust to it. Clearly.
@BrknMan@ejwwest Yeah we are and its not changing. If you want to stop the CO2 output you need to probably reduce the population to 1 billion from 9 billion. go back to stone ages and undo the entire industrialization.
None of which is going to happen. You live in a fantasy world
@BrknMan@ejwwest Thats not what i am talking about. I am saying we arent changing it. The climate wont cool down any time soon. at least not for 100s or even 1000s years.
Clearly we need to adapt to the circumstances we are in. Which is a warmer climate.
@BrknMan@ejwwest You act like we are chosing to. Like we are warming the climate to save people dying from the cold.
Thats not the case. the climate is here, we wont change it any time soon
My issue is you whining about heat related deaths and not cold related deaths. far bigger issue
@BrknMan@ejwwest Dont lie , you specifically said heat related deaths. The moment I said. in fact cold related deaths are actually much more of an issue. you got annoyed and called me out for saying such a thing.
You clearly have an agenda here.
@BrknMan@ejwwest Can you at least agree that deaths related to cold is a much bigger issue than deaths to heat will ever be?
Maybe this should be the focus for your next whiny tweet.
@BrknMan@ejwwest I never said such thing. I said that cold related deaths are much higher than heat related deaths. I also said that global warming will lead to fewer cold related deaths.
both statements are true
@BrknMan@ejwwest What is it you actually want though? Whats the goal here?
What should we do? I am sure you are aware we wont reverse the climate any time soon. So whats your angle?
