PhD candidate at NTNU, studying fish ecophysiology, thermal performance, ocean acidification ๐ฆ๐๐ | former Fulbrighter in STEM๐ต๐ช๐บ๐ธ๐ณ๐ด๐she/her
It is often assumed that correlations btwn metabolic rate and behaviour can cause indirect selection. By examining numerous behaviours, our paper by @AmelieCrespel shows when this "phenotypic gambit" is incorrect & why genetic correlations are needed: https://t.co/61fbsjQnQX
It canโt get better! ๐คฉ Two fantastic PhD position openings with the amazing mentors; @FredrikJutfelt, @shaunkillen, and @NPilakouta. Application deadline is Jan 31!
Happy to announce two PhD positions in fish ecophysiology ๐ฃ
Fully funded, fun fish temperature physiology, supervision by me, @shaunkillen, @NPilakouta! @Naturvetenskap

What a FABULOUS time and an HONOR to work with such amazing team #FINclub2023, lots of science discussions, learning, and lots of fun! I cannot ask for more with this amazing and brilliant team! ๐คฉโค๏ธ๐ Iโll miss ya all! Photo credits: @FredrikJutfelt
@Timothy_D_Clark on finding little evidence for the temperature size tule being driven by a mismatch in demand for oxygen supply ๐๐๐ก๏ธ๐ซง Great talk and relevant findings! #SEBconference 2023
One of my favorite talks last week! ๐๐๐@rasmusern explaining thermal tolerance in oxygen-dependent vs oxygen independent fish, plus the plasticity of upper thermal tolerance in zebrafish ๐๐๐ซง
Rasmus Ern presenting on how water oxygen and thermal ramping rate modulates thermal tolerance in zebrafish. It takes hypoxia of around 30% to affect CTmax.
Definitely one of the best talks @SEBiology 2023, @FredrikJutfelt discussed about science misconduct, how it harms academy and how our academic system handles it. We still have lot to improve! @NTNUnorway
Come see my talk about scientific misconduct in the field of fish ecology, and more on the story below.
15:30 in the open animal session, room Menteith.

I had a fantastic week at @SEBiology 2023 in Edinburgh! ๐ Thrilled to talk about my work on how oxygen limitation of thermal tolerance is modulated by thermal acclimation ๐๐๐ @climate @NTNUnorway
Lorena Silva @DloreSilva with a great talk on how hyperoxia can increase thermal tolerance in cold acclimated fish but not in other acclimation temperatures.
A great #PhD research position working in #fish#Ecophysiology and behavior! And with the fabulous Jutfelt lab! It cannot get better! ๐ช๐๐ Come and join our fintastic team! ๐ณ๐ด๐๐๐
Happy to announce a new PhD position!
Fish ecophysiology with flexibility in the project. Fully funded, good salary, great university!
