Once in one of his addresses Volodymyr Zelenskyy quoted Georgia Meloni, who said the following:
"I don't want disappointed people in Ukraine to burn portraits of European and American leaders."
Well, I think that no one in Ukraine is going to burn portraits. People in Ukraine, though being disillusioned and disfigured by war, have the dignity and clarity to understand who is their true enemy and who wants to wipe them off from the earth.
Disillusioned people in Ukraine won't burn their portraits. Instead they'll simply chew them, swallow them and digest them. Or spit them out.
And their portraits, instead of being place in the pantheon of Ukraine's allies in a worthy place alongside Ukrainian heroes, will be buried in the ground as compost or simply lost in history.
As those who talked too much and did too little.
As those who turned a blind eye and pretended this was not their war.
As those who sought justification in the mere fact that Ukraine is not ideal and everything is not that obvious.
As those who invented that there exists any possibility to stop Putin with appeasement.
There's none. It's a fiction. A whim.
It's simply a non-existant reality which weak people, unable to face the truth, invent for themselves to chicken out and avoid responsibility.
***
Putin doesn't need a pretext. Ukraine didn't attack the parade or launch any strikes during the truce, and Putin himself admitted it.
Did it in any way change his decision to launch 1428 drones and 56 missiles?
He's not doing this in response to anything. He's doing it out of a sick obsession to wipe out an entire people, even though he doesn't even consider them a people.
And then he will either obliterate Ukraine with bombs and missiles. Or, if Ukraine capitulates, he will subject the people to filtration and assimilation, and there will be no Ukrainians – everything will be like in the occupied territories – no language, no passport, no identity. If he is not stopped.
Ukraine is strong. Ukraine is stronger than Putin believed and believes. Ukraine is stronger than the West believed before the invasion in February 2022. Ukraine is stronger than Trump believed in the Oval Office in February 2025. Ukraine is stronger than perhaps even Ukrainians themselves believe.
But it's not just about strength - it's also about the individual tragedy of everyone killed in their sleep by a Russian missile. About the endless grief over the murder of a 12-years-old girl, pulled from under the rubble.
Too much pain to bear alone. And Ukraine bears it all alone, no matter what anyone says. For more then four years now.
This just should not happen - not because of the world order, not because of international law and not because of all those rules humanity invented after World War II to maintain this fragile peace. All of these are good, but in fact secondary constructs, too complex for many. This is not the main thing Ukraine is fighting for.
It's because of a simple principle that no scum should be allowed to kill others on a whim.
This is what Ukraine is really fighting for. This is why it can't just give up Donbas and hope for Putin's mercy. And this is why all these children are dying. Not fucking because of Donbas.
And if Ukraine lays down its arms, it will mean only one thing: killing is allowed. And the next victim could then be anyone.
__
As of now, it is known about 7 people killed, but these are only those who were pulled from the rubble. There may be up to 20 more people still buried there.
Russia struck a bus carrying Ukrainian miners returning home after their shift, killing 12.
The first "Shahed" struck near the bus, causing the driver to lose control and crash into a fence. People began to climb out of the bus, and at that moment, the operator of the second "Shahed" aimed the drone directly at them.

You will be shocked, but Russia will never give its “consent” to any so-called “security guarantees for Ukraine” -- largely because your insane bacchanalia masquerading as “negotiations” has given Russia absolute motivation to fear nothing anymore, to stop at nothing, and to go all the way at any cost toward the complete annihilation of Ukraine.
Ukraine did a great job reverse engineering Russian Shahed / Geran drones. You can literally go on the website and see component breakdown - made in Texas, Germany, Switzerland...
I suggest you check it out. Very interesting. https://t.co/JgQmFoHghQ
Yes, NATO is dead now.
And the final nail in its coffin was driven by the biggest useful idiot the Kremlin and Beijing have ever had in the history of the Western world.
He did it out of his megalomania, ultra-vulgarity, his hunger for the easiest money and the cheapest attention, shallowness, ignorance, and an addiction to self-glorification in front of TV cameras, which has long since crossed into madness.
He did it out of sheer amorality, too: an insatiable urge to humiliate, humiliate, humiliate those who depend on him, for nothing but petty self-affirmation -- while groveling before powerful and criminal enemies, just to get a scrap of their approval and feel like he belongs among the big bad guys.
But his is not the end. It is the beginning of a new alliance in a new world, a change that has been overdue for far too long.
The nations that remain faithful to the values of the free world will stay together.
And now, on the front line of that defense, stands Ukraine, with unmatched experience of the warfare of a new era, and a military exceptional in its resilience and heroism against one of the largest and most relentless war machines in human history.
Now it is time to GET FREAKING SERIOUS and truly unite around a European, Euro-Atlantic Ukraine: to help it, and to learn from it, and to absorb its priceless experience and inventions for the collective defense of the democratic West.
The arsenal of democracy is here now.
“The US president tossed aside maps of the frontline in Ukraine, insisted Zelenskyy surrender the entire Donbas region to Putin, and repeatedly echoed talking points the Russian leader had made in their call a day earlier.” (с) Financial Times.
Of course -- because he couldn't care less about maps, the situation on the fronts, the fates of millions of people, or what his impulsive, willful "decisions" will mean for whole countries.
That's all way too boring and too complicated.
It's easier for him not to pursue a real, reliable, long-term peace and not to deprive the aggressor of the ability to wage war, but simply to brutally twist Ukraine's arms and force it to surrender, so he can get his next dose of five minutes of self-admiration in front of the cameras as "the greatest peacemaker of all."
What will happen afterward -- when the aggressor, whom Trump lacks the stomach to confront, gains the advantage and is significantly strengthened to continue the war on an even more catastrophic scale -- his primitive mind couldn't care less.
So, listen up, kids:
When Russia deliberately launches dozens of drones against Poland and Romania, that is NOT warmongering and NOT a threat of war between Russia and NATO.
But when European countries even theoretically consider the possibility of helping Ukraine shoot down Russian drones over Ukrainian territory - so that Russia cannot use them to attack European countries - that suddenly becomes “a war between NATO and Russia.”
Don’t get it confused!
Morning in Kyiv. The Russians decided that the whole world is watching Israel and Iran, so they can again kill dozens of civilians in Ukraine with impunity
This is crazy! Read what the Russians did to the Ukrainian journalist. According to experts, this is intended to make all journalists aware of what can happen to them if they report truthfully about Russia and its crimes. It is impossible to come to an agreement with Russia. Russia will never respect the law. Btw @TuckerCarlson can do an interview with Putin about this.
A north korean KN-23 ballistic missile, launched by russia—america’s “friend”—hits a residential building in the capital of a European country.
The world doesn't care.
That's the reality we live in.
@elonmusk LOL. In fact, the Ukrainian authorities have already introduced sanctions against their own oligarchs
This is your level of understanding of the realities of Ukraine

Ukrainian journalist Viktoriia Roshchyna was imprisoned in Russia and never returned. Journalists traced her path and uncovered new evidence of Russian crimes.

For me, one of the key symbols of February 24, 2022, is Vitalii Skakun of Ukraine's 137th Marines.
In the earliest hours of Russia's full-scale invasion, he sacrificed his life to blow up a bridge near the city of Henichesk, between occupied Crimea and mainland Ukraine, to delay the advancing Russian tank column.
He was just 25.
Remember people like Marine Vitalii Skakun.
He gave his young life out of love for his country and his people — the people whom all sorts of hellish creatures, with tongues dripping venom and souls of pitch black, dare to call a "project" and a "fake country invented by Lenin."
I was in Crimea in 2014 when Russia sent troops to take over the peninsula. I meticulously documented the war they started in Ukraine in over 100 episodes & several documentaries for VICE News. Russia has been lying about its involvement from the start. https://t.co/cyAmAJ3DA8
