Україна стоятиме на своєму перед будь-яким нав'язуванням. Навіть коли шанси на перемогу здаються майже неможливими, ми вистоїмо й переможемо Росію. 🪖🇺🇦⚔️
As always, @EmmanuelMacron and I are closely coordinating our positions. We had a productive meeting and discussed priorities ahead of the meetings of the Anti-Ballistic Coalition and the Coalition of the Willing, as well as our bilateral cooperation.
Relations between our countries have reached a truly strategic level, due in large part to President Macron’s personal efforts. Today, I thanked Emmanuel for his assistance and support throughout these years and awarded the Order of Freedom to the President, a true friend of Ukraine.
We spoke in detail about the situation on the front and Ukraine’s needs in protecting people from Russian attacks. It is important to strengthen Ukraine, reinforce our air defenses, and accelerate the development of Europe’s anti-ballistic capabilities. France has precisely the capabilities and advanced technologies needed to help. We will work on this together with our allies. Thank you, France. Thank you, Emmanuel!
I wish Canada, Prime Minister @MarkJCarney, and all Canadians a Happy Canada Day. Ukraine joins you in celebrating this day. We appreciate Canada’s leadership in helping us protect the lives of our people across many domains: defense assistance, pioneering work on sanctions against Russia’s shadow fleet and financial sector, diplomatic advocacy, and much more. We are grateful that we can count on your continued support in all these areas. Thank you, Canada!
Together with the @eucopresident, António Costa, and the Taoiseach of Ireland, @MichealMartinTD, we coordinated the priorities of the Ukrainian agenda during Ireland’s EU Council Presidency. First and foremost, we discussed the practical steps needed for the swiftest possible progress of Ukraine towards full EU membership. We also aligned on further support for Ukraine and strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia.
I thank Ireland and all our European partners for their support for Ukraine. We count on this Presidency to be a time of important decisions.
I thank all European leaders for opening the first negotiation cluster in Ukraine’s EU accession talks. And it was an important decision during the Cyprus Presidency. Now we must keep moving forward without losing time. We can open 5 more clusters very soon and continue the negotiations in a practical way.
Of course, the biggest political decisions are still ahead, but steps like opening new clusters strengthen the motivation of our people, lift the spirit of Ukrainians, and show that the EU keeps its promises.

Over the next 6 months, we can make real progress on the Drone Deal that Ukraine has proposed to the European Union. We have also concluded a good number of bilateral agreements and broader partnerships with European countries that can help bring Ukraine’s new defense technologies into wider use, including drone and counter-drone systems that are already proving effective.
Today, every country needs the modern means to at least monitor and protect its own airspace and sea borders. Without Ukraine, without Ukraine’s experience and security expertise, tested in modern war, it is simply impossible to guarantee security today, especially when it comes to air defense and maritime security.

Right after the air raid alert sounded, people on the Dnipro embankment started running as air defence was shooting down several Russian ballistic missiles. You could hear the explosions and see the trails in the sky.
Some ran into a new concrete shelter. It was the only hard cover nearby.
An elderly woman with her dog asked me, “Is it over?” It was very hot in the shelter. Half an hour later, they walked out, wondering whether a larger attack would come overnight.
Just another summer evening. Year five of Russia’s war.
First competitive tender for heavy bombers & middle-strike UAVs is open.
The plan: contract tens of thousands of drones from multiple suppliers.
The same model cut 155mm ammo costs by 16%. Now we scale it to drones.

🇺🇦 160 Ukrainian warriors held captive since 2022 came home today.
Among them are 58 officers and 116 defenders of Mariupol.
They held Azovstal and fought across the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy fronts — Armed Forces, National Guard, Border Guard, Special Transport Service.
We remember everyone still in captivity. We will bring them all home.

No safe harbor in occupied Crimea.
@ServiceSsu drones hit the Zaliv shipyard in Kerch: two military cable ships, a near-complete ferry, and an S-400 radar covering the strait.
The cable ships alone are worth hundreds of millions of dollars each.
Crimea is no logistics hub. Ukraine's defense forces will keep proving it.

Fuel limits were introduced at gas stations in Russia's Belgorod region. Drivers can buy no more than 30 liters of gasoline or 60 liters of diesel per visit, local authorities said.
The number of Russian regions where fuel sales restrictions have been imposed has exceeded 60.
‼️ A Russian airstrike on Sumy killed four people and injured 33 more, including seven children.
Medics tried to save a 5-year-old girl at the scene of the Russian strike, but she did not survive.
Her mom was killed beside her little girl. Her older daughter was injured, as well, and is now in the hospital.
Deepest condolences. This is too awful.
This damned war.
Governor of Leningrad region:
There was no information from the emergency services about damage. Thankful to air defense forces for their effective work.
St Petersburg oil terminal and Vysotsk port in Leningrad region of Russia are burning after drone attacks.
Primorsk port in the same region has likely been attacked, as well.
Pulkovo airport has been closed down for some time now, so 37 flights have been delayed, and 11 more canceled.
