@thoughtrise@GangstHannah@Seemo Exactly, they chase unicorns, nothing safe about them. Look at how much they wasted investing in VR, NFTs, Metaverse, etc.
@tha_rami@outstarwalker The funding issue is probably also affected by the investment boom that happened for VR which never payed off and Web 3.0 which never payed off.

@tha_rami I mean, no one expected BG3 to do what it did. No crpg in the history of gaming has done anything close to BG3's numbers.
Though MS seemed to be completely out of touch with reality in their comments about it.
@tha_rami It was inevitable. Buying companies with so many in-development games, anyone who has worked the numbers in this industry would know most wouldn’t hit their forecasts.
@aortizelguero@TilFolkvang I feel like Starfield and Fallout 4 both go out of their way to avoid the situation you had in Skyrim where you could just play for hundreds of hours without ever starting the main story.

@TilFolkvang Totally agree with this, and there is no choice so its makes it feel even more pointless. Not to mention the quick jump from mining rocks to taking out a pirate base.
Kind of curious why those that lent EM the money to buy Twitter haven't had him removed yet.
I wonder if he used Tesla as collateral and they're waiting for value of Twitter to drop sufficiently that they can get his other businesses from him?
