President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting:
"Unfortunately, new conflict zones are emerging in our region with each passing day.
Tensions are escalating along a region stretching from Lebanon to Yemen and Iran, with various agendas being pursued, particularly through proxy forces.
Despite the ring of crises that has surrounded it for some time, Türkiye is cementing its position as an island of stability, security and peace with each passing day.
Guided by the principle of regional ownership, we advocate resolving disputes not on the battlefield but at the negotiating table, through dialogue and diplomacy.
Mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity is our fundamental principle.
In our view, division and fragmentation will only serve the interests of the evil forces seeking to turn our region into a bloodbath.
In this regard, we condemn in the strongest possible terms the attacks carried out by the Houthis on 10 October against King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which claimed the lives of 12 people and injured 309 others.
We pray to Almighty Allah to grant His mercy on our brothers and sisters who lost their lives, including those performing Umrah, and wish our injured brothers and sisters a speedy recovery.
Türkiye stands with Saudi Arabia and our Saudi brothers and sisters in the face of these unlawful and inhumane attacks."
Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran:
"The future of space will be discussed in Antalya from 5 to 9 October. 🚀🇹🇷
The 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026), the world’s largest and most prestigious space gathering, will be hosted by Türkiye under the theme “The World Needs More Space.”
Bringing together thousands of participants from 108 countries in Antalya, the Congress will demonstrate Türkiye’s growing capacity and international visibility in the fields of space, science and technology, with Türkiye ranking first with 753 submitted papers.
I wish IAC 2026, which will be held under the coordination of our Ministry of Industry and Technology and co-hosted by the Turkish Space Agency and SAHA İstanbul, to pave the way for new partnerships, scientific studies and ideas that will shape the future of space.
May this major gathering, extending from Antalya to the world, be auspicious for our country."
Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran:
"I congratulate the Organisation of Turkic States on its 17th anniversary, which brings together the Turkic world’s shared history, language and cultural heritage around a common vision for the future.
The spirit of unity expressed in Ismail Gaspirali’s motto, ‘Unity in language, thought and action’, has today become a strong foundation for strengthening political, economic and cultural cooperation among the Turkic states, while promoting greater solidarity and coordination on issues of common concern.
Inspired by our shared past, I hope that the solidarity of the Turkic world, moving forward together towards the future, will grow ever stronger, and that the Organisation of Turkic States will continue to make an ever-greater contribution to peace, stability and prosperity in our region and around the world.
Happy 3 October Turkic States Cooperation Day. 🇹🇷"

Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran:
"Anatolia is a unique region with thousands of years of history, a crossroads of civilisations and a custodian of some of the most precious traces of humanity’s shared heritage.
Each of its cities tells a different story, while every corner bears the imprint of a different civilisation. From its natural beauty to its deeply rooted culture of hospitality, Anatolia embodies a remarkable wealth of heritage.
It is our shared aspiration to showcase this wealth through tourism, preserve and sustain our country’s unique heritage, share it with the world, and pass it on to future generations.
As we mark World Tourism Day on 27 September, I extend my gratitude to all those who share our country’s rich values with the world and make valuable contributions to our economy and employment."
Presidency’s Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran:
"Every provocation against Al-Aqsa Mosque is an unacceptable attack targeting the historical and legal status of Al-Quds. I condemn in the strongest terms these raids carried out under the protection of the Israeli occupying forces.
These attempts, which escalate tensions in Al-Quds, disregard the sanctity of the holy sites and further destabilise the already fragile balance in the region, are seriously undermining efforts to achieve peace and stability.
Al-Quds is the shared land of all Abrahamic religions; Al-Aqsa Mosque is the common sanctuary of Muslims and the shared heritage of all humanity. As our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has stated, “Al-Aqsa Mosque, our first qibla, is our red line.
Defending the rights and status of Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque is a historic responsibility we bear not only today but also towards future generations. With this awareness, we will always uphold the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and continue to stand by all our Palestinian brothers and sisters."
Presidency’s Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran:
"Launched in 2017 under the auspices of First Lady Emine Erdoğan and coordinated by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change of Türkiye, the Zero Waste Movement has grown over the past nine years into a powerful environmental vision.
Built around the vision that ‘The World Is Our Common Home’, the movement is now carrying its mission forward under the call, ‘Together for the World, from Zero to COP31'.
We all have the right to live in a healthy, clean environment, and protecting the nature entrusted to us is our shared responsibility. Because a clean environment is the most precious legacy we can leave to future generations.
Today, the Zero Waste initiative has grown into a broad sphere of influence, from its contributions to the economy and the conservation of natural resources to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and educational programmes reaching millions of people.
Türkiye has pioneered a culture of shared responsibility that encourages us to rethink our consumption habits, protect our resources, reduce waste at the source, and make recovery part of everyday life, inspiring people around the world.
I am confident that this journey from local to global will pave the way for new initiatives to combat climate change and advance efforts to build a more sustainable future on the road to COP31.
On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude to First Lady Emine Erdoğan for leading this major environmental mobilisation, as well as everyone who has made a contribution to this endeavour.
Happy ninth anniversary of the Zero Waste Movement."
Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran:
"The resounding victory secured by the Turkish fleet, commanded by Admiral Barbarossa Hayreddin Pasha, at Preveza on 27 September 1538 consolidated Turkish supremacy in the Mediterranean and etched an enduring mark on the history of naval warfare.
The strong naval tradition that has endured from Preveza to the present lives on today through our Naval Forces, which carry out their duties to safeguard the security of the Blue Homeland.
I commemorate, first and foremost, Barbarossa Hayreddin Pasha, along with his heroic sailors and our revered martyrs, with mercy, and remember our veterans with gratitude.
On this occasion, I proudly mark the 488th anniversary of the Preveza Naval Victory and extend my congratulations on Turkish Naval Forces Day."
Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran:
"The struggle for the liberation of Karabakh stands as one of the most powerful examples of courage, sacrifice and love of homeland etched into the memory of our recent history.
On 27 September, Azerbaijan’s Remembrance Day, I commemorate with mercy and gratitude the heroic sons of our beloved Azerbaijan who laid down their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of their homeland, and honour our veterans with gratitude.
With the understanding of “two states, one nation”, may our heartfelt bond, shared history and bonds of kinship with brotherly Azerbaijan—with whom we are united in joy and sorrow—endure forever.
Qarabağ Azərbaycandır! 🇹🇷🇦🇿"

Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran:
“The use of the UN rostrum by genocidal Netanyahu, who is subject to an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity, to level baseless accusations against Türkiye and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is incompatible with the ideals of peace, the rule of law and dialogue that the United Nations represents.
Netanyahu’s outrageous and despicable remarks targeting President Erdoğan cannot obscure his massacres, the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza or the legal proceedings against him under international law. The international community is well aware of this, and Netanyahu is more isolated than ever.
Under the leadership of President Erdoğan, Türkiye will continue to defend the rights of the oppressed, particularly our Palestinian brothers and sisters, champion a fairer and more peaceful world, and stand against injustice and oppression.”
