THE ONLY SIN GOD CANNOT FORGIVE?

Most Christians misunderstand the only sin that sends a soul to hell.

It isn’t murder.
It isn’t adultery.
It isn’t abortion.
It isn’t even denying Christ in a moment of weakness.

Jesus warned about only one sin that “will not be forgiven”:

“Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 12:31–32)

Why?

Because this isn’t a sin God refuses to forgive.

It’s a sin the sinner refuses to let God forgive.

The Catholic Church teaches that this rejection appears in six forms:

• Despair — “God could never forgive me.”
• Presumption — “I’ll be forgiven anyway.”
• Rejecting the known truth — Resisting what the Holy Spirit has made clear.
• Envy of another’s spiritual good — Hating the grace God gives others.
• Obstinacy in sin — Refusing to repent despite countless invitations.
• Final impenitence — Dying without turning back to God.

These are not six separate sins.

They are six ways of saying “No” to the Holy Spirit.

God’s mercy is infinite.

But mercy cannot save the heart that refuses it.

As long as you have breath, grace is still calling.

Don’t mistake God’s patience for permission.

The only unforgivable sin is dying with a heart that refuses His mercy.

“Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” (Hebrews 3:15)

Here is the story of the "Pardon of Assisi":

In July 1216, while praying in the Portiuncula chapel, St. Francis saw a vision of Jesus and Mary. When asked what he desired, he requested a full pardon for all who entered the chapel with sincere repentance and confession. Jesus granted it, instructing Francis to seek papal approval. Pope Honorius III granted the request—now known as the “Pardon of Assisi.”

Originally limited to the Portiuncula from the evening of August 1 to sunset on August 2, this plenary indulgence was later extended to all Franciscan—and eventually all Catholic—churches.

To receive the indulgence (from noon August 1st to midnight August 2nd), one must: visit a Catholic or Franciscan church with devotion, go to Confession and Communion within 20 days, recite the Apostles’ Creed and the Our Father, pray for the Pope’s intentions, and be free from attachment to sin.

This extraordinary grace, born of divine mercy and Franciscan humility, is available each year—not only for ourselves (the living), but also for the souls in purgatory (the deceased).

En los últimos días han llamado la atención dos imágenes.

Primero, el 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗺𝗼𝘀 (Gironda, Francia), que permaneció en pie tras el devastador incendio que arrasó la zona.

Después, en el 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼 (Italia), una escultura de Cristo tallada en un olivo muerto por la Xylella sobrevivió al fuego mientras el paisaje a su alrededor quedó reducido a cenizas.

¿Son milagros? La Iglesia siempre ha sido prudente antes de llamar “milagro” a un acontecimiento. Y nosotros también deberíamos serlo.

Pero sí hay algo que estas imágenes nos recuerdan.

El fuego puede consumir bosques, templos o esculturas. Lo que nunca podrá consumir es el mensaje de la Cruz.

Cristo no vino a prometernos una vida sin llamas. Entró Él mismo en el sufrimiento para vencer aquello que parecía tener la última palabra: el pecado y la muerte.

Ver un crucifijo en pie entre las cenizas es, al menos, una poderosa imagen de esa verdad: cuando todo parece perdido, la esperanza cristiana permanece.

Porque, al final, no es la madera la que sostiene a Cristo. Es Cristo quien sigue sosteniendo al mundo.

Kaya: pwedeng malaki ang “galaw” sa CCTV pero pagdating ng pagkuha ng litrato, konti o zero ang natira. Kung ang claim ay “dumaan lang, wala natira,” ok - pero kapag milyon o bilyon ang dumaan, normal lang tanungin:

Saan galing? Saan napunta? Bakit dumaan sa account mo?

“Zero cash/bank deposits” sa SALN = ano ang sinasabi nito?

Ibig sabihin: Ang dineklara ay wala (0) o hindi nagdeklara ng cash on hand at cash in banks as of December 31. Sa reports tungkol kay VP, lumabas na sa SALNs 2019 - 2024, walang declared cash on hand at bank deposits.

Ano ang AMLC records at ano ang binibilang nito?

Ang AMLC ay tumatanggap ng reports mula sa mga bangko, lalo na:
• CTR (Covered Transaction Reports): karaniwang cash transactions > ₱500,000 sa isang banking day, automatic ang reporting.
• STR (Suspicious Transaction Reports): kahit anong amount kung may red flags, tulad ng unusual, di tugma sa profile/capacity, walang malinaw na purpose, atbp.

Sa House hearing reports, inilahad na may covered at suspicious transactions na naka-link kina VP Sara Duterte at asawa niya, at may total summary na umabot sa ₱6.77B sa mahabang period, kasama ang pasok-labas sa bangko.

So ano ang relationship ng SALN, AMLC records, at “Zero cash”?

Sa SALN: “Ano ang meron ka sa dulo ng taon?”.
Sa AMLC: “Ano ang dumaan na pera sa accounts mo sa iba’t ibang araw?”

Pwedeng sabay na totoo ang dalawa, malaki ang pasok-labas pero pagdating ng December 31, naubos/na-withdraw/na-transfer kaya zero ang ending cash/bank deposits.

Pero kung malaki ang flow at may STR red flags, natural na tanong:
“Kung ganito kalaki/ganito ka-flagged ang galaw, ano ang pinanggalingan at pinag-gamitan? Tugma ba ito sa legal income/capacity at sa dineklarang assets?”

Dahil required sa SALN ang pagdeklara ng “cash on hand or in banks,” kapag zero ang dineklara sa maraming taon, at may indikasyon ng bank activity, may mismatch:
“Zero ba talaga ang bank deposits as of Dec 31?”

“Kung meron, bakit hindi nadeclare?”
“Kung wala, bakit may ganitong pattern/volume ng transactions?”

Ganito ‘yan: ang SALN ay litrato ng yaman mo sa dulo ng taon, kasama dapat ang cash at bank deposits.

AMLC reports naman ay CCTV ng galaw ng pera - may CTR (cash > ₱500k/day) at STR (may red flags kahit anong amount) na nirereport ng mga bangko. Kaya kahit posible na malaki ang galaw pero zero ang natira sa December 31, normal lang tanungin:

saan galing, saan napunta, at tugma ba sa disclosures?

Yan lamang muna ang dapat alamin?
