Dr. Rida Ahmad was awarded a PhD in Zoology on December 15, 2023. She presented her Thesis titled “Vulnerability assessment of Pakistan’s threatened species using the Habitat Suitability Index” supervised by Prof. Dr. Farkhanda Manzoor and co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali.

Her study was first attempt in Pakistan to assess the species vulnerability using the Integrated Assessment Approach, Multisource Data Integration and Strategic Conservation Prioritization.

Prof. Dr. Saima Sharif attended the Laboratory Medicine Congress and Exhibition and the KSLM 64th Annual Meeting at Suwon Convention Center Suwon, South Korea. She presented her research work highlighting the role of metabolic genes in atrial fibrillation (October 18-20, 2023).
