@r13mann @SD3pete @Jacobs71 @82XFactor I would absolutely say they are making up the 'enforcement' of the calls as they go, not the rules, at least that's what the game looked like at the end. It was a soft call on something that hadn't even been called in hard situations, and it was very well timed for KC.

@r13mann @SD3pete @Jacobs71 @82XFactor "Called according to the rules" is doing some conveniently heavy lifting for you there, huh? Because it implies that all penalties of the same kind are of equal severity and flagrancy and will be called by the officials equally throughout of the game.

@r13mann @SD3pete @Jacobs71 @82XFactor So it's okay to have penalties be called differently during the final drive of the game, where teams are showing defensive and offensive habits dictated to them by the first 3 and a half quarters of the officiating. That makes sense.

@SD3pete @Jacobs71 @82XFactor I don't know how to tell you that expecting consistent officiating in a championship game is not "mental gymnastics" other than to say it to you and hope it makes sense. It would take mental gymnastics to NOT want that, I think.
