🇺🇦🤯 Wołodymyr Zełenski wystąpił na forum ONZ w Nowym Jorku. Moim zdaniem jest to światowy skandal, że prezydent kraju, który od pięciu lat broni się przed rosyjskim terroryzmem, musi od podstaw wyjaśniać, że jego naród jest ofiarą agresji.

Do takiego absurdu doprowadziło nas dopuszczenie rosyjskiej propagandy na salony, czerwone dywany, błyski fleszy, uściski dłoni z mordercami, którzy z zimną krwią każdego dnia zrzucają bomby na cywilów, na miasta w wolnym, niezależny kraju, którego jedyną winą była chęć dołączenia do Unii Europejskiej i do NATO, a nie życie pod butem Moskwy.

Jak to jest, że w piątym roku barbarzyńskiej napaści Kremla na Ukraińców, prezydent tego kraju musi od nowa wyjaśniać, że prosi o ratunek przed śmiercią? Jak to jest, że przestaliście słyszeć wybuchy, które tu słyszmy co godzinę? Co godzinę. Bez przerwy.

W 2022 roku doskonale rozumieliśmy, kto jest złem. Nic się od tego czasu nie zmieniło poza tym, że wojna w Ukrainie jest jeszcze straszniejsza, że pochłania jeszcze więcej ofiar, że rujnuje kraj i życia każdej osoby jeszcze mocniej.

Nie potrafię zrozumieć tego, że im jest tu gorzej, tym więcej jest wątpliwości.

Czy proste odpowiedzi, prosty świat i złudne wyjaśnienia oprawcy naprawdę są w stanie wygrać tylko dlatego, że tak jest bardziej komfortowo?

U nas właśnie zaczyna się kolejny nalot. Znów wyją syreny. Nawet nie jestem w stanie zliczyć, ile już bombardowań tu przeżyłem. I tak jest co godzinę.

Ponad 60 tysięcy dronów od początku 2026 roku, 7000 Shahedów, setki rakiet, tysiące zabitych ludzi, dziesiątki tysięcy rannych.

This is truly a great man. He has invested more in Ukraine than 185 countries combined.

Meet Howard Buffett, Warren Buffett’s middle son. He is 71 years old. He dropped out of college three times. He drinks Dr Pepper and looks for a McDonald’s wherever he travels.

Since the beginning of the war, his foundation has become the largest private donor to Ukraine: $1.4 billion.

Over four years, he has personally visited Ukraine 27 times.

In April 2022, he saw burned-out agricultural machinery and called the president of John Deere:

“How many combines are available in Europe?”

“Fifteen. All of them were supposed to go to Russia.”

“I’ll take them all.”

Then came all the available New Holland equipment in Europe. Altogether, more than 100 tractors and combines were provided to Ukrainian farmers.

He even tested demining equipment himself - on his own farm in Illinois, detonating explosives beneath rollers. When a Ukrainian deputy minister expressed doubts, Buffett told him:

“Stop counting my tractors. If necessary, I’ll blow up a thousand of them.”

Andriy Stavnitser initially asked him for $1 million for Superhumans. Buffett asked how much was needed to build the entire center.

“$14 million.”

“Okay. And what do you expect in return?”

“Nothing. Build it.”

Today, his support for Superhumans has reached $77 million, and the center has treated more than 1,700 patients.

But his largest area of spending is neither agricultural machinery nor prosthetics.

It is food: 642 million meals.

And that is only part of it:
* 344,000 windows replaced after Russian attacks;
* 9 bridges, 4 power plants, 2,500 generators, and 18 DNA laboratories;
* Much of Bucha rebuilt with his funding.

“I already have more friends in Ukraine than I do at home,” he says.

He celebrates birthdays in Ukraine, comes for Christmas, and even has a Ukrainian godson.

Friends, this is truly a great man - someone who understands that he cannot take all his money with him when he leaves this world.

I simply want to thank him and wish him well.

Whatever else one may say, this is real help from a person who had no personal obligation to Ukraine.

He simply chose to help.

And you call Greenland badly governed?

Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world.
Nobody there goes bankrupt because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because insurance refused treatment.

Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU.

You don’t care that a great nation is being terrorized by your friend, and you haven’t shown it a single ounce of sympathy.

So maybe before calling other countries badly governed, take a look at your own backyard, you aluminum siding salesman with a spray tan.

Russia strikes Kharkiv every single day.

​I rarely write about it anymore. Not many people seem to care, and the news outlets never mention it. Posting about it feels like screaming into a void. If Russia can kill 30 people in a capital city full of journalists without any global outrage, who is going to care about a destroyed gas station and a single life lost in Kharkiv?

​Yet, they keep launching all kinds of drones and missiles at us. They strike Kharkiv several times a day, destroying our homes, injuring our people, and often killing them. I just wanted you to know.

Well, it was inevitable, and it happened.

Time and again, Russia brings down another Ukrainian apartment building with a missile in the middle of the night, burying entire families beneath the rubble.

Ukraine strikes one of Russia’s largest and most strategically important oil refineries, around 3,000 kilometres from its own borders.

One side deliberately targets civilians. The other targets the infrastructure that fuels the war.

If anyone still struggles to see the difference, they’re choosing not to.

Мабуть, десь наприкінці 90-х я вперше почув вираз «Польща – адвокат України».

І десь це відповідало дійсності, бо за різних президентів та прем'єрів – і за Кваснєвського, і за Качинського, і за Туска – Польща здійснювала системні кроки підтримки прагнення України до членства в ЄС та НАТО.

Не те, щоб Україна не була вдячна, ба більше – після того як Кваснєвський і Кучма взаємно перепросили за події на теренах Волині, був справжнісінький медовий період з апофеозом у вигляді спільного проведення Євро-2012.

Проте…

Активна робота з боку Польщі щодо адвокатування України у брюссельських кабінетах, залученість до модерування внутрішньоукраїнських криз 2004 і 2014 років призвели до того, що польський політикум почав вважати, що тепер Україна сильно зобов'язана і має погоджувати з Польщею ті чи інші кроки. Тим більше, що за останніх 30 років Польща економічно зміцнилась і політично утвердилась регіональним лідером.

З їхнього боку все наче логічно. Окрім одного.

Замість вибудовування стійких, взаємовигідних партнерських стосунків з Україною, польський політикум не уникнув спокуси зайнятись повчанням і шантажем.

Розказувати українцям, на честь кого можна чи не можна називати вулиці українських міст і сіл – це стати поруч із росіянами, які вбивають українців, бо ми заканселили вулиці лєніна і неіснуючих 28 панфіловців.

В українському суспільстві ніколи за останніх 35 років не було теми обговорення чи мають право поляки називати свої вулиці на честь тих, хто вбивав українців під прапорами Армії крайової, чи на честь українофоба Пілсудського, який тримав українців у концтаборі задовго до того, як це почали робити нацисти.

Ваша країна – ваші герої. Ми вам не вказуємо. Але і ви до нас не лізьте.

Гонор часом заважає дивитися за горизонт. І у наших польських колег зараз саме той клопіт.

Пару тижнів тому президент України провів зустріч із керівниками трійки найвпливовіших держав у Європі: Британії, Німеччини і Франції. Предмет розмови – умови мирної угоди і перемовини з москвою.

Офіційна Варшава устами пана Туска висловила своє незадоволення, що подібні питання, які стосуються України та безпеки європейського регіону, відбуваються без участі Польщі.

Я не чув таких заяв ні від Італії, ні від скандинавів, ні від країн Бенілюксу. Бо ніхто не ставить під сумнів авторитет та вагу Е3 на світовій арені. Та і наші польські друзі це розуміють.

Їх вкурвлює інше.

Те, що тепер Україна балакає з найсильнішими цього світу без польського посередництва. Українці виросли з коротких штанців і почали самостійно вибудовувати зовнішньополітичні треки: НАТО, ЄС, Вашингтон, світова безпекова архітектура тощо.

Так, війна дуже поміняла ситуацію.
Українці ствердились як сильна нація, навіть стікаючи кров'ю, зіп'ялись на ноги і отримали визнання усього світу.
Ми набули суб'єктності.

Чи потребуємо ми зараз адвокації? Так, звісно ж!

Макрон і Стубб адвокатують інтереси України у Вашингтоні, німці адвокатують інтерес українських аграріїв перед поляками в контексті євроінтеграційних процесів, Данія продавила авторитетом пів Європи, щоб мілітарна підтримка не всихалась.

Але є вже питання, які ми вирішуємо самостійно. І треба не ревнувати, що Київ напряму спілкується з Лондоном, Берліном, Парижем чи Брюсселем. Треба з цього користати. Бо ми теж можемо і вміємо підставляти друзям плече підтримки!

Натомість Кароль Навроцький обирає шлях відкритої конфронтації, раз по раз торпедуючи питання Волинської трагедії, шовіністично-ксенофобською риторикою в бік українських біженців, тепер він відбирає орден «Білого орла» в українського президента.

The EU issued nearly half a million tourist visas to Russians in 2025.

Not to dissidents. Not to refugees. Tourist visas. For holidays. The highest number since Putin sent his army into Ukraine, up 10% on the year. France, proud, principled, morally unimpeachable France, raised its Russian approvals by 23% in a single year.

When the numbers got awkward, the EU did what the EU does. It deleted them. Russian visa statistics quietly vanished from the official Schengen tracker in early 2026. Eight countries had to formally demand they be put back.

They hid the data. Not the policy. The data.

Ten countries, the Nordics, the Baltics, and the Netherlands among them, had to write an actual letter to get this onto a ministers’ meeting agenda. The remaining seventeen apparently saw nothing strange about any of this.

No law is coming before summer. Because before any law can exist, there must first be a proposal. Before the proposal, a consultation. Before the consultation, a scoping exercise. Before the scoping exercise, a working group must be convened to determine whether a scoping exercise is appropriate. The working group requires terms of reference. The terms of reference must be approved by a subcommittee. The subcommittee reports to a committee. The committee feeds into a framework. The framework informs a roadmap. The roadmap gets amended seventeen times and renamed a “strategic pathway.” The strategic pathway is then circulated to member states for comment. France requests more time. The whole thing goes back to the working group.

Any legislation won’t pass before 2027. Possibly 2031, if Italy has a strong summer season.

Ukraine is entering year five. Russians are entering Italy.

Four years of sanctions packages, candlelit solidarity vigils, and solemn declarations about European values, and Paris increased its Russian tourist approvals by nearly a quarter.

The EU didn’t fail to stop the missiles. It didn’t even try to stop the sunbathing.

There has been no electricity for six days now.
And there won’t be for at least three more.

Out of those six days, three were without water.
If I hadn’t spent my whole life reading, if I didn’t have that inner foundation, it would probably be much harder.

The Japanese have a philosophy called Ikigai — in a broad sense, it means the reason you live. But in harsh moments, ikigai hides in simple things.

I love cleanliness.
Every morning I heat water and wash the floors.
I walk my dogs.
I talk to my daughter.
I make coffee in a beautiful cup — freshly brewed, with cardamom, a touch of vanilla, and a little sugar.

Then the workday begins.

Once, an economist said that Ukraine already has an economic miracle. Our economy is alive because people get up and go to work — despite everything. Moreover, this high bar of expectations pushes us to be creative and to keep growing.

They say the Russians are planning to strike infrastructure further — targeting water. As if to say: if they survived without electricity and heating, let’s try leaving them without water too.

There is only one Monday left until spring.
