UA wants to fix their marketing strategy by working more on their website & by lowering the amount of discount on their products online since ppl are willing to pay extra for UA. It's good that they are looking for a new strat. as their brand reputation has been declining.2/2(MR)

U A's decision to increase its marketing spending for 2020 is bold. Do you think that its new corporate branding ad campaign will prove successful? How do you feel about its push to focus on more personalized marketing plans at the product level?(Williams)

[Dr. Clark's Marketing Classes at Berry College @DocC_MarkStrat]

I think that this new strategy that UA is taking will help increase brand loyalty. Like they mentioned the product itself does not need to be changed but rather how the customers/ non-customers perception on the UA needs to be changed. 1/2 (MR)

Disney will be collaborating w/ Allure Bridal to launch a collection of princess-themed wedding dresses. What are your thoughts on the success of this collaboration? All 16 gowns will be < $10,000, is this a fair price? https://t.co/n0efd2NPNS

The portion of revenue is a large portion of the advertising programs, but the mix of advertising will be the main advantage for Under Armor. It's interesting to consider how they will differentiate themselves from other brand with their new mix. (McLendon)

Disney is smart by taking this approach but all of the dresses should be in the higher end of the price range. If a bride is willing to have a disney themed wedding and pay the exorbitant prices to get married at disneyland they will probably pay a lot for the dresses. (McLendon)

Consumers of Rihanna’s brand clearly find their advertising misleading. If the brand wishes to sustain customer goodwill and conduct business ethically, they should take their customers concerns seriously and focus on transparency above simply meeting legal standards (Clements)

(Norman) Rihanna’s company is facing charges of deceptive advertising for “VIP memberships.” Is this different than how many other companies handle subscription services? Where is the line? https://t.co/id8ZKii9J0

[Dr. Clark's Marketing Classes at Berry College @DocC_MarkStrat]

What Rihanna's company is doing with memberships is very similar to what other companies offer. However, there is a clear lack of transparency in the benefits of the membership and the costs. Rihanna should be able to offer the discounts but be clearer on the details (Hanner)

YouTube is a v important platform for many generations and including more shopping ads will reach more market segments. However, ads will need to grab the viewers attention quickly bc viewers have a shorter attention span & will be quick to skip the ad to watch their video (MR)

(Pinkston) Google has increased the frequency of shopping advertisements on YouTube. Do you think adding even more shopping ads to YouTube will succeed in generating more interest in the brands displayed? Or will the impact be negligible or even negative? https://t.co/FTetddzqZH

[Dr. Clark's Marketing Classes at Berry College @DocC_MarkStrat]

Rihanna's company differs by hiding a lot of details and using deceptive tactics such as automatically adding a subscription to customer's online shopping carts. Customers should be made fully aware of everything they are purchasing and signing up for at checkout. (Colson)

This is definitely a decision that is user focused and not necessarily profit driven. This will allow goggle to set itself apart once again from other search engine providers. Google will see returns in other manors from this decision (Hanner)

With major updates coming to google chrome, how will ad blocking effect firms who primarily focus on youtube advertising? (McLendon)

I believe that society is looking for more authenticity when it comes to corporate companies. The vulnerability that comes along with being emotional enhances companies authenticity in the eyes of the consumer. This is why we see it so often now (Hanner).

With all the hype that surrounds Super Bowl ads, why do you think this year there were more emotional ads vs. the typical humorous ones? Do you connect/remember an emotional ad more so than others? Why do you think that is? https://t.co/E7eGibCVHD (Miller)

[Dr. Clark's Marketing Classes at Berry College @DocC_MarkStrat]

I think the super bowl creates ads with pathos for the purpose of getting their brand talked about, rather than just trying to get more consumers. Ads that stir emotions, both humor and emotional, remain in consumers memory longer and create more discussion in the long run(Black)

[Dr. Clark's Marketing Classes at Berry College @DocC_MarkStrat]

ads to shorter, less-annoying ones for viewers, which will cut costs on production because they are shorter but also increase costs for the sake of creating newer advertisements (Miller)

[Dr. Clark's Marketing Classes at Berry College @DocC_MarkStrat]

If Google Chrome is going to block mid-roll ads, this is huge to creators. Creators make content to be a specific length for the sole reason of getting an ad mixed in the middle. Going forward, firms will have to rethink their YouTube advertising efforts and change these mid-roll

[Dr. Clark's Marketing Classes at Berry College @DocC_MarkStrat]

I think the increase in emotionally charged ads stems from consumers growing need for brand authenticity. Personally, I do think these kind of ads stand out. For the Super Bowl specifically, Google’s “Loretta” commercial really captured my attention(Clements)
