When you sister is in the ticket tape parade for NYC heroes!
My sister @Doctor_Daniela (left) is a doctor at @nyphospital who treated NYC covid patients during the pandemic and then helped lead the hospital’s vaccine effort with her friend and colleague @DocChacko (right) ❤️
I am especially thankful to lead #COVID19Vaccinations efforts @armorynyc alongside such an amazing Co-Medical Director and dear friend. https://t.co/yuGb1ZU98E
Taking a moment to reflect on the fact that exactly one year ago today, I started seeing patients in the tent I helped lead and now we are vaccinating our patients and community. While the fight against COVID-19 continues, it is incredible how far we‘ve come in a year.
I am grateful for my dedicated colleagues @nyp_fammed who have worked tirelessly in this especially challenging time. I am honored to serve patients who treat me like family and take time during their visits to ask how I am handling working in a pandemic.
Our #FamilyMedicine faculty (& residency grads) Sharon Chacko & Daniela Diaz demonstrated their leadership ability as medical directors of the Armory vaccination site. We are proud of their work to ensure equitable and efficient vaccine distribution in our community.
Thank you for this thread. It is reprehensible to slander healthcare workers who have stopped at nothing to fight this pandemic. We won’t be deterred and we won’t stop. #VoteHealth#WearAMask
I am so proud of the heroic and compassionate care my brilliant Columbia University/NYP colleagues have provided to thousands of patients with COVID-19. We won’t stop caring and we won’t stop sharing actual science.
For months, me & my colleagues at Columbia University’s medical center have treated thousands of #COVID19 patients.
Every one with dignity. Never disgracefully.
I wrote about their sacrifice here. I still choke up when I read it.
We are not disgraceful.

There's really no way to describe what we're seeing.
Our new reality is unreal.
The people and places we've known so long & so well have been transformed.
Our ERs are ICUs.
Everything looks, sounds and feels different.
Just one week and it's a whole different world.

Just a reminder that Trump’s proposed budget would cut funding for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by 17%.
Cut U.S. funding to the World Health Organization by more than half.
And make a nearly 10% cut to Health and Human Services.
And grateful for multiple birthday surprises from my wonderful colleagues at Farrell! Incredibly proud of the hard work and teamwork I’ve seen during our Epic transition ❤️
Proud to work with amazing Family Medicine residents who have been absolute champs during this Epic transition. Thank you for this lovely gesture #bestresidentsever@NYP_FamMed
Two of our Farrell team members presenting our new process for same day visits at a Patient Care Champion meeting! This is a great team-based initiative allowing patients to be seen and triaged more efficiently. #PatientExperience@NYP_FamMed@nyphospital@overjennie
@L_Abhyankar @PettyHomoMD Thanks for the shoutout! Grateful I had @L_Abhyankar who was an inspiring co-Chief. @PettyHomoMD It gets better. Please communicate with your program leadership when things aren’t working especially if it feels unsafe!
Hi, I'm a doctor who happens to be female. You may know me from my greatest hits including, "Yes, I'm actually your doctor," "Yes you did see a doctor, it was me" and "Yes, you may speak to the doctor in charge - you are speaking to her now."
Spotted at #PCF - the amazing Farrell @NYP_FamMed pharmacist Khusbu talking about the telepharmacy initiative happening at the site partnering with our community health workers - caring for our most vulnerable patients by bringing care directly to their home!
Yesterday afternoon @NYP_FamMed#joyofpractice at Farrell Health Center when a patient I'm seeing for the first time mentions that I am her daughter's PCP, was her grand daughter's prenatal care doctor, and took care of her great grand daughter when she was an infant.
