@AConcernedPare2 Just pick one. I don't care which. It's the back and forth that drives me crazy. It's also a great illustration of how difficult it is to get government to change ANYTHING once they pass it into law.
If you're willing to accept the "filibuster" excuse for Republicans not passing the SAVE act, or any other significant piece of actual conservative legislation, then what you're saying is that you're okay with Republicans in congress never passing any conservative legislation ever again. Republicans aren't getting a filibuster proof majority. There is no conceivable scenario where that is ever going to happen. It's a laughable idea, frankly. So either we barrel through and advance our agenda by force, filibuster be damned, or it will never happen. Those are your choices.
Outstanding video from the @FreedomCaucusF making the case for the SAVE America Act—and explaining how we can use the talking filibuster to pass it in the Senate
Please spend 60 seconds watching it—and share it if you agree!
@ScottPresler@LeaderJohnThune Sadly the will of the American people does not matter to our elected officials. They won't be able to get 50 to agree to the standing filibuster. This is where we are as a country.
Americans have been misled for decades…
The Senate doesn’t require 60 votes to pass legislation.
The Senate requires 51 votes but has hidden behind the Filibuster.
The Republican “majority” Senate could pass the SAVE ACT right now if they wanted to.
Keep up the pressure!
The SAVE America Act is far simpler and far more popular among American voters than the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was when the Senate began debating it.
We’re at most 10 votes shy of cloture on the SAVE America Act today—far closer than the 25-vote cloture deficit when debate began on the Civil Rights Act—so it’s not as heavy a lift.
It is entirely possible, if not likely, that it would take far less debate time to pass the SAVE America Act while requiring filibustering senators to speak than it did when the Senate used this approach with the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Raise your hand if you agree that it would be worth the investment of at least a few days—or maybe even a few weeks, if necessary—to openly debate the SAVE America Act in the Senate, requiring filibustering senators to speak.
And while your hand is raised, indicate how much time you think the Senate should be willing to commit to that endeavor.
Enforcing the Talking Filibuster isn’t “nuking” the filibuster
It involves making senators speak—not sleep—to filibuster
Consistent with Senate rules
It can be hard work, but sometimes that’s necessary—and passing the SAVE America Act is worth the effort

🚨 BOMBSHELL: Virgil Walker just SHUT DOWN Kirk Franklin's wild claim that Mary & Joseph were "illegal immigrants" on Fearless Harmony with Jason Whitlock! 🔥
That idea is straight-up FOOLISH—and it does REAL DAMAGE by twisting Scripture for political points. Stop weaponizing Jesus! ✝️
Mary & Joseph obeyed the law, traveling within their own empire for the census—not sneaking across borders. Truth over agenda! 🇺🇸
God bless Virgil for calling it out. Who's with him? 👇 #FearlessHarmony #KirkFranklin #BibleTruth #NoMoreTwistingScripture
