I see/diagnose loads of long Covid. It’s a scary thing to diagnose because there are no specialists and no tests. I can treat POTS but the rest is distinctly lacking in implementable evidence and guidance at the moment, especially in general practice. At least the graded exercise rhetoric has subsided.
@mswalker There are SO many reasons for being tired. Naturally, look for medical reasons- but psychosocial are just as valid. Don’t medicalise because it’s an easier ‘fix’.
@toniwriter Honestly - I don’t think I’d know how to recognise a rip current. At the moment all I can do is wade into the water first to check if it feels OK. More education needed.
@valhumphreys51 TV drama is a source of mirth and frustration for medics. They often put the stethoscope ear pieces in back to front or the X-ray up left to right. Chopping out a belly button is a new one though!
@DrSdeG@DrJoFranklin Excellent course on @rcgp elearning written by @sarahhillman26 about anal incontinence after childbirth. Well worth 30 mins of your time. https://t.co/jvwOVGCMnQ
