Trust the process of questioning the process.
Sometimes questioning your process confirms you’re on the right track. Sometimes it reveals a better one, but it always offers the opportunity to learn and grow.
I entered an AI film festival. I’m not a finalist, but the experience was invaluable. I gained a better appreciation for the few artists creating thoughtful AI-assisted work.

PSF Production Log #1: Laying the Foundation
Some beginning stages for my 2026 Plotagon Summer Festival act have been completed. Here's hoping I can be done by next Friday, the latest.
I promise it'll be livelier than these layout templates.
On April 16, my wife and I joined an 8-day tour through Arizona, Utah, and ended in Las Vegas.
Looking out across millions of years put my place in time into perspective.
These photos don't come close to experiencing these places in person... even Gort!
This week, I finished the first rough outline for “Ghost Sails”, an epic pirate comedy/fantasy by my friend and favorite writer, Emmet O’Brien. @thinkingcog@CharlieAabo will be illustrating. I’ve had the honor of working with him, and I’m thrilled to see him bring this to life
Build Log #3: Build Complete!
After installing the rest of the cardboard backing, the acoustic foam went up quickly.
I’ve already had three recording sessions in there, and it’s doing exactly what I hoped. The build is a success!
Thanks to everyone who joined me for the ride.
Build Log #2: Foam & Cardboard Layer
Produced a spray box to glue the acoustic foam to the shelves.
Most of the cardboard backing has been installed using mounting tape.
I paint the corners black before the final step. I probably don’t need to… but my OCD says otherwise.
Build Log #1: Booth Shelving Installed
I'll still need my sound booth for storage, so I've added shelves.
The next step is to spray glue acoustic foam underneath them for added sound absorption.
It’s a slow process because, since I can only cut once, I measure 3,647 times.
Materials? Check. Tools? Check. Bandages? Check.
I now have everything I need to execute my closet/recording booth setup.
If you don’t hear from me, that means the soundproofing works.
Spent Saturday celebrating the @Plotagon community at the 4th Annual Ploscars.
"The Dark Athenaeum – Someday Driver" won 🏆 Best Original Character and 🏆 Best Voice Acting, which I’m proud to share with my wife.

After locking a script, character design is the next stop in my @Plotagon production pipeline.
Once I’ve finalized a design, I produce what I call “Plotaguise Sheets” - quick and clear visual references that make rebuilding the characters super-easy.

I had a couple of projects that needed voicework before my closet/recording booth makeover could go into full swing.
With a couple of rolling shelves and a strategically placed moving blanket, I got the job done.
Sometimes, what we have on hand is enough.
The Ploscars are next month and I'm proud to have been nominated among so many outstanding storytellers and projects. If you'd like to vote for your favorites, please click the following link... https://t.co/fAc2lWBYXb
