Physiologist. Speaks to himself only in a Scottish accent. Fingernails grow uncomfortably fast. Does not have cool hair. Tried being serious once, but hated it.
@adrianmckinty Norm talked quite a bit about how Tolstoy was his favorite author, and I've read that his moth joke was loosely based on Tolstoy's "The Death of Ivan Ilyich." Others have said the joke was basically a Chekhov play. Regardless, he seemed to love Russian writers.
@goldmctNFL@kent_swanson@RealMNchiefsfan Sorry if this has been posted already but I know many of you know John Dixon of Arrowhead Pride, one of the truly great people in Chiefs Kingdom. Cancer sucks. The story is posted on Arrowhead Pride by @RonOnChiefs
@priceacarter@blitzlink_@ArrowheadAddict Did they ask themselves why they didn't bother evaluating Smith, Royals or Bassa last season? Did they wonder aloud to themselves if they played Conner out of position all year? It's good to hear they are asking themselves questions.
@SamueleMarcora@stevemagness I have enjoyed reading your work and have found it very thought provoking. Quick question: do you think there is a role for depletion of liver glycogen after extreme (not mild) mental fatigue in subsequent exercise performance?
@brandibuzzard I’m definitely cheering for the Texans. We play them so control our own destiny a bit more against Houston. Plus, I’d like to admire Allen but he’s the king of flops.
@linwood_barclay Our library just set up their train set in the lobby, so I told the guy he needed to read “Whistle.” Such an incredible story, and the guy checked it out right away.
@RehabAllStar I've taught physiology for 28 years and I still spend several hours per week preparing lectures and reading papers out of respect for the discipline and for my students. It's the same for your discipline and your athletes, plus things change as we learn new stuff.
@jaketapper We just watched Hoosiers last night. Hackman could do SO much with just a rolled up piece of paper. Need to watch Uncommon Valor and BAT 21 again as well.
