Ever wondered why doctors and people with type 2 diabetes are getting so excited about low carbohydrate diets? 🤔

73 patients at my surgery have now reversed their type 2 diabetes 🙌

"Rigid adherence shifts care towards interventions and prescribing, and away from where it should really be — on the patient’s priorities, preferences and values."

Agree. Ditto where access, use of AI, COI of QOF/LES & digital interaction becomes inflexible & bypasses humanity.

“I believe that modern general practice has become so focused on targets and guideline adherence that we risk losing sight of what matters most to patients”

Being elected as a fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) was much more than simply gaining a title. It revitalised my career. It’s true! When I tell other GPs this, as all good primary care physicians do, they say “tell me more…”

>40% of the followers of our @juniorparkrunUK event appear to be scantily clad women [no joke]

We need to rethink our marketing - obvs🤔

Whilst we do that perhaps some of you/them might consider wearing something a bit warmer and volunteering on a Sunday😉

@seandilleyNEWS @barton_kell @AbbieSBrooks @katy_cleece @olliehart7 @RNIB @SLCouncils @BritBlindSport @parkrunUK @juniorparkrunUK @parkrunhelen It’s helpful if you both register and it allows parkrun to keep a record or your events and times for you. If you let the run director know your guide’s details they can credit her

"Most of us have never thought to ask why there are so few visually impaired parkrunners at parkrun. 340,000 people in the UK are registered blind or partially sighted but an average parkrun weekend across the UK attracts 60 - 80 VI parkrunners"
