I messaged Tom on LinkedIn yesterday. He text me right back. He's very generous about doing that. Im trying to get a handle on his method for differentiating dyslipidemics who are chol hyper producers from hyper absorbers; then choosing statin vs ezetimibe based on that. There are no guidelines anywhere about this. I started myself on Ezetimibe w/o ever evaluating myself. My plan was to look at my ApoB after 3 months and see if I responded, and if so then I have my answer.
@theproof@Drlipid I watched that whole interview yesterday. It made my brain hurt. And I like lipids as a subject. I took the link from the video and used it to create a 60 question notebooLM quiz for myself and then took the quiz. Didnโt score very well. ๐
@digijordan Good. Just realize 25 grams/day min is what you need. An apple only has 3 grams. So I just put two heaping teaspoons of Metamucil in half a glass of water and thatโs 25 g and now any fruits and vegetables I eat is bonus fiber. End of my unsolicited advise ๐
Money is not pie. Just because someone has a lot doesnโt mean thereโs less for you. Collectivists refuse to accept this because it destroys their primary lever . . . envy.
Same exact reduction in post menopausal women in the Women's Health Initiative estrogen only arm, a billion dollar NIH funded randomized controlled trial. But only 4% of postmenopausal women in the US are on HRT. Mainly due to fear generated by the . . . you guessed it . . the mainstream media.
@drterrysimpson@theproof Well let me return the compliment. When I first saw you on Simon Hill, I didnโt think it was the same Terry Simpson that I rotated wit! You look like a totally different human. Amazing transformation and congratulations.
Good to see you havenโt lost your sense of humor Terry. I did a gen surg rotation with you in my 3rd yr in Phx. Trained at Rush for anesthesia & practiced 15 years & burned out. Retained in hormone management, took 2 years, completely evidence based concierge practice in Scottsdale now. Total reinvention of myself. Saw you on Simon Hill & learned much. Love to catch up w/you on a zoom call sometime. Greg Goetz
I have given myself NAD+ IV 500 mg on 3 separate occasions and did not feel any profound effect. Mild improvement in what I would call cognitive endurance. Iโm ashamed to admit that I have done both of the things mentioned here โฆ Parroted the idea it declines with age and we need to replace & at same time stating itโs primarily intracellular and borderline impossible to measure. If itโs impossible to measure, how do we know for sure it declines with age?
Perhaps. And yet somehow "NAD declines with age" became dogma. How did that happen, if measuring NAD is really hard and the measurements can't be trusted? I'm not saying NAD can't/doesn't have any role in longevity, I'm pointing out that the idea that NAD is a central regulator of aging is not supported by robust data. In fact, it seems to be mostly a story of irreproducible data. Both the idea that NAD declines with age and the idea that NAD precursors increase lifespan have not been reproducible.
@digijordan I wish Cannon was still alive. We could really use her. wisdom. Do you know if anyone took over for her? I know she said she trained other regression hypnotists in her method before she passed away.
@LatinaCasanova If youโre high value enough, her friends may attempt to steal you. Women are always looking to trade up even if itโs at the expense of a friend.
