Is the NEET PG exam silently destroying the clinical acumen of future doctors?

Instead of talking to patients, students now talk to MCQs. Instead of learning how to examine, they are learning how to eliminate options. Instead of picking up clinical skills, they are picking up short tricks.

Today MBBS has been reduced to screens dominated by NEET PG coaching apps, AI generated test series, and rank lists.

Students are reluctant to come to lectures, wards have become empty, OPDs are being skipped, and the art of history taking is slowly fading.

Students no longer see patients as learning opportunities but as distractions from their preparation schedules.

The joy of bedside learning, the bond between seniors and juniors, the discussions that shaped real doctors, all are being replaced by grand test series and algorithmic learning.

I feel, somewhere along the way, MBBS doctors have stopped being learners and started becoming just numbers in a rank list.

Dr Aditya Sir is absolutely right in what he said!
But in some private hospitals, they aren’t healing a patient, they are just making money in the name of fear!
& moreover some doctors do lacks empathy & compassion for a patient, which is even more important than their degrees!

When it comes to private hospital bill - everyone India becomes poor(chindi).
Bhai - that’s the point .
Govt hospital for underprivileged.
Private for those who can afford.
If you can afford - don’t cry.
If you can’t afford - don’t come.
Non profit is govt job, not private.

10 years back this comment would have enraged me. Today, I just feel sorry for this person.
He/she has so much hatred for doctors but will still have to go to one for self or a family member sooner or later, stand politely and respectfully and listen to what's being told.
You can hate modern medicine doctors as much as you want but you can't avoid them. When there is sudden pain in the chest in the middle of night, 100% people run to an allopathic doctor.

Attitude as if they r the prime minister of the universe!
If such medical associates cant respect people of their community, i wonder whom will they!
