@LakotaMan1 Unfortunately, I feel like that is true. Makes it hard for those of us who were raised to believe in a Christ who wanted to love others as we would love ourselves to know how to identify.
@MatthewLauseng@LakotaMan1 Chattel slavery in the American south, with the enslavement of multiple generations, is quite different from the type of slavery practiced by the Romans, Greeks and Egyptians of antiquity.
@LakotaMan1 Awww, LM, don't like to think of you feeling broken. I'm an ED worker, too, and I think often of how much your calm and competent caring must mean to your patients. You have brothers and sisters all around the world who care about you. You have a big heart.
Being a physician in America is going to school a huge chunk of your life to learn how to best care for patients, continuing to learn for your entire career as medicine advances, only to be told what to do by Insurance Bob who thinks coagulation is about cheese.
@jtrebach ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ40 years later, totally true. Though I did bring it up in court once, just to prove my point that I knew more about medicine and physiology than that lawyer did....
