A resolution was passed during the 9th Annual General Body Meeting of NMMTA, condemning the vicious actions of the UG board of NMC against teachers holding medical MSc PhD qualifications. It calls upon the government to compel the NMC to amend the TEQ & MSR2023 guidelines, replace the biased UG board, and revise the NMC Act to include 50% non-doctors on all NMC boards.

NMMTA receives several such messages pleading for help. Dear @mansukhmandviya ji, to whom shall we forward these pleas? As the final authority, we all look up to your ministry @MoHFW_INDIA for justice and protection from the associations (including @NMC_IND) that are terrorizing and tormenting our community. If not you, who else should we look up to?

Any committee or sub-committee that is populated or dominated by the doctors will NEVER rule in favour of non-doctors whenever there is a conflict of interest. The outcome of such meetings are more or less predetermined and biased against the non-doctors. #CEA #MCI #NABL

Many of the faculty shortages in non-clinical disciplines are ARTIFICIAL, driven by flawed and misplaced policies rooted in pride and prejudice.

Self-regulation in India has largely proven ineffective. This becomes evident when the @NMC_IND is dominated exclusively by one group of professionals, promoting exclusivity and protecting their community's interests at any cost.

This underscores the need for @MoHFW_INDIA to step in, show NMC where it belongs, and assert itself as the primary benefactor for all stakeholders.

NMC, which fails to meet the international standards set by @wfmeorg, bears significant responsibility for the subpar standards of medical education in India.

The evidence is glaring; MBBS graduates aren't interested in non-clinical subjects. Thousands of PG seats remain vacant each year.
Why is the government interested in creating more non-clinical medicos, who are in the count of doctors but don't contribute to direct patient care?
Also, why are the medical colleges desperate to fill these PG seats by waiving off bonds, lowering qualifying percentile, decreasing fees, free seats, and offering other freebies?
