@MrSlowCrow@asymmetricinfo The self-mythologizing I’ve been seeing from Europeans is hilarious. Why don’t you go bother Swedes or Norwegians or the Japanese or New Zealanders who also predominately use wood to make houses? Are they all without legacy and culture too?
@MrSlowCrow@asymmetricinfo Stone won’t help much during wildfires, actually. And it’s especially bad for earthquakes compared to wood structures. Homes in hurricane-proof areas are often build with concrete because of that. But even wooden homes are not going to collapse because of a hurricane.
@pegobry_en Why do you all keep accusing us of not realizing it? We know! We are saying that since you now have deadly heatwaves that kill a lot of people you should do something about it now.
@Nicolas_Colin You don’t refit the whole building, just put some window units in so you can get that death rate down. Also Europeans CONSTANTLY lecture Americans here on everything, all the time.
@RunemirQi No, we don’t mean just that, we also mean window units. And you don’t have to, you know, sleep right under them. And if you do, they have thermostats to adjust the temperature.
