Indian Army Pulverizes Terrorist Launchpads

As a response to Pakistan's misadventures of attempted drone strikes on the night of 08 and 09 May 2025 in multiple cities of Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, the #Indian Army conducted a coordinated fire assault on terrorist launchpads, pulverizing & razing them to cinders.
The terrorist launchpads, located close to the Line of Control, were a hub for planning and executing terror attacks against Indian civilians and security forces in the past. The Indian Army's swift and decisive action has dealt a significant blow to terrorist infrastructure and capabilities.

📢  West Bengal 🛣️

In West Bengal, we have sanctioned ₹1606.14 crore for the rehabilitation and upgrading of the NH-31D, expanding it to a 4-lane highway from Dhupguri to Falakata, covering a stretch of 29.86 kilometres under Package II-B.

This initiative is a crucial segment of the East-West Corridor of the National Highways Development Project (NHDP), linking NH-27, which runs from Porbandar through Rajkot, Samakhiali, Radhanpur, Kota, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, and Muzaffarpur to Siliguri, Assam, and Guwahati.

Completion of this project will mark the final phase of the East-West Corridor, enhancing connectivity to North East India and bolstering India's strategic advantage in the Chicken Neck Corridor. Additionally, the new road will shorten the travel distance by over 25 kilometres.
