@tyDi 🙏💙 @tyDi
I saw this tweet earlier this week which inspired me to ✍ more than a word or two to describe what 'Music is....' to me
Hopefully it'll resonate with more than a few that I already know it does 💙🎶
🙏@awrightfriend for your contribution 🙏💙🤝

You've composed something far better and accurate than I've been trying to find the words and energy to do.
Incredibly well said and I thankyou for doing this on behalf of our genuine friend Ed 🙏🏻❤️💔
I do not usually write long posts like this, but I need to.
Last summer, the usual suspects were having a go at anyone who supported Lucy, calling us agents and liars.
Now my friend Ed (the techie) got dragged into this through no fault of his own, partly as he was writing to Lucy and partly by defending friends who were their targets.
At the time, Ed was already unwell. He later found out it was cancer. At first, he tried to support his friend by proving she was legit, by sharing pictures of medicine she had posted him. It was not enough, they didn’t relent.
Being invalidated and erased like that is hurtful. I know from experience, and they were going after people dear to him as well as himself. So Ed did the wise and right thing: he shut them down in no uncertain terms. And yes, he used some very well deserved fruity language. Good on him.
I keep seeing this used to label him as "abusive."
It makes my blood boil.
Ed was a gent. I know, we met and countless others can vouch for his character too . He was a friend to me. His behaviour towards them, far from “abuse”, was righteous indignation.
Ed was already pushed to his limits that summer and did not need that nonsense stealing his energy. Looking back, I resent them deeply for adding stress to his life when he was already suffering. It makes me wonder if part of this attempted erasure of his humanness is borne of guilt, as the truth is they were complicit in kicking a man when he was already down.
Goading a man and then playing victim when he reacts is truly the lowest of the low. Or so one would think….
Sadly even after Ed's death from cancer, they still will not leave him alone. I have stayed quiet thus far because I know Ed would have wanted me to protect my energy too, he advised me to in the past. But their posts have unfortunately gained traction, they’re appearing when I search his @ - no doubt a substack is on its way and I can not continue to watch them blacken his name, particularly when he is not even here to defend himself.
The behaviour of these people is cowardly and cruel. It risks stealing attention from people celebrating his memory, and disrupting the community’s natural grieving process.
Francis O'Neill asked if he is “missing something”.
Yes, Francis. You are missing any semblance of humanity in the way you have been conducting yourself lately.
All of you engaging in this are vultures.
Francis and Miri are the worst offenders - no wonder, as they love a good grift. The more traffic to their pages, the more attention goes to their substacks - both of which have multiple avenues listed at the bottom for people to “donate” money.
This pair remind me of Mr and Mrs Thenardier from Les Misérables, gleefully profiting off the dead. It is sick what they’re doing. I would go as far as to say, spiritually dangerous.
This is not journalism. Ask questions, fine.
But do the work first. Do not carelessly spread rumours that risk erasing a man, his suffering and his life's work for a cheap bit of attention.
Some of those now slandering Ed were even pally with him during his time here. He made their lives better in those moments. And now they are speaking ill of him after his passing.
Some seem to be trying to rewrite his life to fit their narrative, or score cheap points within their conspiraclique. But in doing so, they risk polluting Ed’s memory and causing deep distress to his family and friends. It goes way beyond disrespect.
Ed was a beautiful soul who brought joy and comfort to countless whose paths he crossed. I suspect many who blindly believed them before will now think twice.
In trying to dishonour his name, they are only dishonouring their own.
@helenparker123@orange_ade777@edthetechie If you mean will I open the bar... then I can't because I'm still trying to sort out all our tax returns, debts, loans(for the remodelled bar including a jacuzzi, limousine, roof top pool and kitchen)...not to mention the claims against us for food poisoning(chicken kebabs).
To My Twitter Big Brother Ed,
You were the best of all of us & brought out the best in all.
You were there at the beginning of me finding my place, my voice, new family & friends on here in a lonely 🌎 back then.
Your 🌎 and friendship became my reality.
🙏🏻 Brother Ed ❤️🫂💔

@Cc14935702@Twat_the_Nat@MaizyDaizyZzzz NY's day! 🤪🥃🤢
Was following road route taking me the longer way(➡️ streets) until I realised much later.
Trying to get back to Victoria Station. Eventually got there after 7hrs of 🚶♂️.
Closed 😫
Opened with limited service & I collapsed on 🚆
🚆 had to make an emergency stop😬
@Twat_the_Nat@MaizyDaizyZzzz I'm actually going back through them now... absolute madness and mayhem. Ingenious idea.
When I'm on the verge of tears past few days I'm flooded with the memories of this and the hilarity of it all. It's the most memorable thing of those times.
I was proud to be the co-host ❤️
@edthetechie Ed will be missed by so many. The founder of 'Eds Place' - the virtual Twitter bar of 2021 that lifted our spirits when we needed it most. The daily seagull and the wanton vlandleism just the humourous surface of a genuinely kind and lovely human. RIP Ed. 🙏

@bobscartoons@efg35663548 Gutted! 😞😢. He will be missed for sure. The V remembrance card would have made his day Bob. Here is my own particular favourite of Ed’s work.
@bobscartoons Ed was a global man, born in Europe, growing up in Africa, teenage years in the Nederlands before moving to the UK for higher Education and falling in love... with his British half and Brighton's spirit
If anyone wants to send anything, message me
@bobscartoons As my friend since 1993...
I'm devastated.
We argued like siblings, saw all manner of events from personal to global
eg. I was in his front room preparing to speak at a Government conference when 9/11 happened. His flat was within the Brighton centre security cordon...
