Bird nerd. Secretly a mad scientist. Returned from boycotting this website now that its owner has slandered our Dear Leader and taken his saluting offstage.
I’m watching the final seasons of Pokemon that feature Ash Ketchum. Ash is characterized as a child version of Steve Irwin and given some hilarious visual gags that I know a lot of people with ADHD can relate to. The kids of the 2020s absolutely got the best of this series.
@AbroadInJapan I grew up near brown bears (also known as Grizzlies) in the Rocky Mountains of North America and love talking about them with people from Japan. Unlike the majority of my fellow Americans, most Japanese people seem to understand the BARE and primal dread these predators inspire.
Pokemon AZ now stands next to Pokemon Crystal on the Gameboy as my favorite Pokemon game of all time. I love the story’s exploration of the nuanced issues involved in urban conservation and living in harmony with animals. Pokemon is perfect for exploring this important topic!

10/2 Safe traveling Top Flat chick.
This is the last view of Top Flat chick, Kaewa's neighbor, when he fledged Tuesday afternoon (Sept 30)

There is no greater collective drama than a six-year-old getting stung by a bee. A week of job shadowing an early elementary school class was enough of that age group for me. The two weeks of 4th-6th grade were so much better. Middle school was fine. High school is next!
