@drkeithsiau Checking glucose without checking insulin. Insulin resistance is tremendously underdiagnosed.

I saw a patient for a surgical consultation for GERD. BMI of 28. Glucose of 92. I ordered insulin and HOMA-IR: 100 and 31 respectively.

Insulin should be part of all routine tests.
