@ChristinaUnkel The analysis changes depending on camera angle. From this angle the defender's arm is forming a barrier to the shot on goal and making his body unnaturally larger. He is moving back towards the body but he has taken a risk by extending it in the first place
@DaleJohnsonESPN The arm is vertical but the body is not, and because he is leaning the arm allows him to block a ball that is going through on goal. He has made his body unnaturally bigger and his arm is coming from an outstretched position that not justifiable from his movement
@lpachter I just want the author to know that I and I hope many other people were deeply affected and disturbed by her story. Treating anyone the way her host did is unacceptable, and when we become aware that a colleague has acted this way we need to let them know that
It is clear empirical reality and arguably a fundamental axiom of science that you cannot accurately predict what research will prove to be important in the long run. And yet we continue to pretend that we can, and, what's worse, we put incredibly high stakes on the outcome.
So proud of this paper! It has been a privilege to develop this project with my first PhD student Neha Cheemalavagu, together with @DoctorF https://t.co/hbVMvQpLEq
@JohnKrysinsky@Pitt_WSOC@fox 🤔I guess one thing we can take away from this World Cup is that failing to score goals when you have the upper hand can be costly 🇳🇬 🇺🇸 especially if you do that in multiple games
@DaleJohnsonESPN Yes, didn’t realize how old the video was. Unreferenced internet sources say 2.2 mm for Hawk-eye but I can’t find a definitive source or football specific reference.
Hi @DaleJohnsonESPN, is it strange for the AR to be wearing the watch with the GLT signal? On the video you can see her raise her arm in response to the buzzing.
@DaleJohnsonESPN So if I understand the accent of the gentleman in this video correctly, the fifa specified tolerance of GLT is 15 mm. The margin of this decision would seem to be well under that value. What is supposed to happen in this case? https://t.co/ELOz3cfZc6
@DaleJohnsonESPN Thanks. Good luck to any human trying to make that call! What if any is the role of VAR here? The referee seemed to be waiting for some sort of confirmation
@JohnKrysinsky@Pitt_WSOC It was great coaching work to get to this point but why did he not go for the win which would have won them the group and avoided playing England in next round?! Why doesn’t @fox tell the viewers about the scenarios?
@MLSRefStats@ChristinaUnkel supported PROs position on MLS instant replay https://t.co/e3a5oXBHwJ and said it was similar to an earlier interfering call in a game between NE and NYCFC that was overturned (4:12 on video)
So proud of this work lead by @CMUPittCompBio student Neha Cheemalavagu with collaborator @DoctorF. We systematically identify genes in global transcriptomic data that are predicted by dynamic signaling features and kinase perturbation.
It’s done!! 🚀🚀🚀🚀

Excited to present a rule-based #CellCycle model that explains location and dynamics of 16 observables at #ICSB2022 ! Check out the #SBML, @bionetgen and #PEtab model specifications on GitHub (https://t.co/eC2Vha5zIc). Feel free to improve/extend model or data with a PR.

@ChristinaUnkel My team awarded one of those the other night in a high school game and we received a similar level of derision from some coaches and fans. Keep up the great work though because it does make a difference!
