@GameOnSwagOn I only recognise Snoop, the Rock, Zendaya, John Cena (though only knew the name because they said it in the clip), and Tom Holland. No clue who anyone else was.
@ApexSapien@lullabystarlust@Sanza_SBK I don’t need a man to do any of those things. First, I don’t kill spiders, I relocate them. Second, I open my own jars, move my own furniture, and in fact do most of the heavy lifting in my life. And I don’t drive. Only thing I’d want someone for is talking on the phone for me.
@pattypat84@lifelovegym@ApexSapien I mean, actually loads of animals do. Though humans are the rare exception to having the female be prey instead of predator. Especially prevalent in arthropods, the female eats her mate to help feed them for egg laying and brooding.
@jonathanfired@Jasperzlyric @MacrobianSon @PhdDavinsky As an asexual, I feel disgust towards strong public affection. In the wild, people kissing or cuddling is disgusting. In fiction, sure, that’s fine. It’s fiction. But seeing straight people kissing is gross in person, too. I don’t hate them, just don’t approve.
@hangdangler@charise_lee Not all women. I’m female and children terrify me. I hate babies. I see the walking ones and I run the other way. Zero maternal instinct.
When my nephew was a baby, I warned my sister if she needed me to babysit, I don’t do nappies, so come back quick.
@S548916S@FitFusion__ Actually, it is pronounced Fahn-tah. They even had adverts in the 90s with the slogan “Wanna Fanta, don’t you wanna?” With like Fanta versions of the spice girls, one for each flavor.
@Richadetta@MaudeShawshank@AngelMD1103 Starbucks has been doing it for ages. And a number of other coffee shops. Then, with the online ordering from the app, it has your name on the order, so it just evolved from there.
@PeacefulUntree@amber_laperi@AngelMD1103 Most servers and bartenders prefer living off of tips rather than being paid by their employer at competitive pay. It keeps food inexpensive overall and they can get much more from tips than just hourly pay. Some people only pay 20%, some pay more.
@dillydally_5@DefiantLs It’s an allowed moment of weakness. Yes, we all have bad things happen. And we all deal in different ways. It wasn’t about the drink, that was just the last straw to break the camel’s back.
I don’t know about you, but I allow myself 5 minutes to spiral before picking myself up.
@ThoughtsOddball@StuffWorthSee The tauntaun was a ThinkGeek exclusive. Originally an April Fools merch that was so popular that they decided to make it. I ended up getting three.
@ThoughtsOddball@StuffWorthSee I don’t have the link. I’ve had it for a LONG time. As in years now. It was pricy, too. And REALLY heavy. It was like a bed coupled with a sleeping bag. The shark I mean. And you had to climb into it. I ended up using it more like a mattress than a sleeping bag.
@ThoughtsOddball@StuffWorthSee Actually, at least the shark one is real. I’ve had one for YEARS. I don’t remember where I ordered it. It’s been a long time now. There’s also a tauntaun one that’s more like a real sleeping bag. But that’s even older and more likely unavailable (got that one on ThinkGeek).
@anaTotheMoon @timelinetiktok The first one is fiberoptic. It doesn’t have a bulb in the resin. It COULD be plausible (though a full floor pour like that would be a nightmare). As long as the base of the main filament leads up out of the resin, it wouldn’t need much upkeep. Just one bulb to replace.
@flyingsolo1111@peterrhague@DGartifact That… actually helps explain my mum. That describes her to a T. Always complaining, always having problems with everything. And she did like soap operas.
Me, I’m autistic and don’t really understand feelings in the same way, so I just get frustrated listening to her tirades.
@Matt_Pinner I never have. Dunkin Donuts, yes. But even that wasn’t my first job, it was my third. I did demonstrations (samples in stores) first, then worked at a tea shop for a bit, then did Dunkin. Only fast food job I’ve done and will NEVER go back to that hell hole.
@_hafsat_paki@awkwardgoogle Real Feminism is gender equality, not female supremacy. The belief that women and men should have the same rights and be able to do the same jobs.
Men should be allowed (and encouraged) to do ‘feminine’ things, just as women should be given the chance to do ‘masculine’ things.
@busit123@stargazeruk7 Striped ție.
Side note: I was born a female (cisgendered female, technically but I don’t really care about gender so agender?), I did kinda look like the one in the scarf the very few times I tried putting on makeup in high school. Which is why I just don’t bother with makeup.
