@DrRachelEyre@CarstenSchulte4 Apologies for all the typos... Writing as kids climb on me π. I think I'm trying to say there could be a greater effort to help women stay in academia but there is a life outside of it. I couldn't fault my boss, he was amazing but the system, nope.
@DrRachelEyre@CarstenSchulte4 I found it. I was on a Well come Trust Issf grant and applyied for a fellowship. I got pregnant and had to pay myself out of my redundancy pot to stay employed to apply for it. I didn't get one. I didn't want to drop a grade to go part time. I left. I was devastated.
There is a lot of discussion of vaccines at the moment. For those who would like to understand how vaccination developed, and how vaccines for childhood diseases and emergencies including COVID-19 are used, I gave an online Gresham talk on this, link below.

Collections are taking place across @UniversityLeeds to help supply the NHS with PPE and lab consumables. We have been rounding up supplies donated by teaching and research labs from @ScienceLeeds #TechniciansMakeItHappen
